I wish I knew Shrimpy! I look in charity shops and car boots but never see anything nice! I can't wait until I have a house with a covered outside space, like a garage or a carport, so I can spray paint stuff then if I do find something that's an amazing shape/design etc but dodgy colour I can easily fix it!

I could think of worse ways to spend my time than looking at pretty cakes! ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Better for me than eating them I suppose! I'm off to Frankie and Bennys for a birthday tonight but I really just want to go home!

CMD - yes going back 4 days. OH has had to take a couple of weeks off as he has so much holiday left and has to take it before april so will be off when i go back to work. Think I am still going to send her 3 days for the first two weeks as i want her to get into routine with it and at least I know OH is near if anything happens. Plus he is going to pick her up earlier so will ease her in a bit.

That is lovely about the champers, definately couldn't say no to that!

3 1/2 hours later the ante-natal day unit decided to let me go. Blood pressure was quite frankly all over the place, ranging from 140/108 all the way down to 120/80, with some nice blips in between. The hospital called me today and asked me to come back and see the consultant on Monday (should have been a week on Monday, but there is no clinic that week).

Had a great turn around on the holiday yesterday. NIM contacted the MS company and said thank you but could they reallocate the job, as the location (Benidorm) has some bad recent crime reports of muggings and we just didn't feel it was worth him taking 5 days out of work for somewhere which isn't our cup of tea .... to which they turned around and said 'well how do you feel about Tenerife or the Algarve?'! So we're going to Portugal in March :D Can't book it until next week though, really impatient to get it nailed down where we are going.

York with mum was really nice, she didn't let me pay for much really (bought a bottle of coke as I was thirsty wandering about....and chipped in some change for a tip after lunch, but she treated me to two smoothies, three soft drinks, a huge breakfast sandwich, 2 1/2 courses of Italian for dinner, a sleekster of hotel chocolat chocolates, the shortfall on a maternity dress (£13) between the cost and what I had on a gift card, the petrol down and the park and ride.... all in all I got off very lightly!). What was weird is she really wanted to treat me to more maternity clothes, but we really couldn't find anywhere. Everywhere we went which I knew did maternity wear told us to go online, or to blinking Manchester! Manchester is about an hour and a half from where we were, and two and a half hours from where I live, surely the maternity drought can not spread so far? We even went on google to look for maternity shops in York, ended up hiking about 2 mile to this one shop we found there, and when we got there this was the smallest shop on earth, down an alley and in a garden, so small the door opened outwards, we couldn't stand me, mum and the shop owner in there at once, which made us quite uncomfortable, so we left. Mum and I now want to open a maternity wear shop in York. And a juice bar as there aren't any of those either it seems.

Hope your blood pressure is okay, Dinah! Glad all the money stuff has kind of evened out, how did the budget plan go?

£349 spare this month, and that's with an increased petrol pot. So that'll all go off the debt.

We refuse to do Valentines day on grounds we don't need hallmark to tell us to do something we do the rest of the year anyway.

I will stick up for him here in that one of the midwifes yesterday asked what we were doing to celebrate and I said 'we don't really like valentines day' and she said 'oh, you haven't got a romantic one then'... I didn't know how to respond but mum chipped in and told her I was lucky to have gotten one of the most romantic ones, and since he made an effort to make me feel all special most days she thought he was allowed a day off (all said with a grin and a joke, just realised it can sound every defensive when typed - she was just sticking up for NIMs romance bone).

Dinah - did you get your buggy okay in the end? Are you pleased with it? What colour is it?

I did, and I'm really chuffed with it. It's just the Blackjack colour, I considered the red but it was a bit bright for me, and with the Blackjack the centre of attention is the baby not the buggy :D

Glad you had a lovely day in York. The maternity ranges can be a bit poor, I only found them any good in central London. They have a whole section in topshop on oxford street but most don't even do it! H and m is also another of my faves for maternity wear. I didnt buy that much though to be honest. I tend to live in leggings most the time and just wore tops/dresses with a bit more room.

Yay for the holiday, will be lovely to have some relaxation time before baby.

I think we all know on here that NIM is definately one of the more romantic ones.
