Ohh exciting! Mine is hopefully next May.
Got a few ideas, hopefully will be looking at a few venues soon with my mum. Trying to find a nice village hall or somewhere where we can put up a marquee. We are the same think budget will stay the same but will mean we won't have to save as much which will help a lot.0 -
How exciting about the wedding Poddle, not long really! Lovely of your parents to contribute too
Lots of scary stuff going on at work today, I'm so jittery and nervy! All of the managers have been in and out of meetings and I can see into the office (think goldfish bowl) and no-one looks happy. Quite a few teams have been called in to hear whatever the news is too but we haven't been called yet. Don't know when or if we'll get told this Bad News.
This was not a good day to start my diet, feel a need for strong coffee and chocolate! In a bet with OH though so must stay strong, if I don't lose 12lbs (and manage one pull-up!) in 6 weeks I have to pay for a weekend away! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Start doing push ups in the mornings, it'll get your arms stronger and help to do the pull up.
Re the bad news, if your manager hasn't been in yet your safe I would think. Even if s/he has you could still not have an issue.
Some better news my end. Our MD/Son of the founders is taking a step back from project managing in order to actually manage the business more. So he's handing a bit of his work to my "line manager" who in turn is handing over total control of our ad hoc national survey to me.This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Phew, had a meeting finally and we're OK. Lots of restructuring for other teams and about 8 redundancies but our team will remain as-is, albeit with a different manager. Relieved!
I was getting worried about my share-save scheme if they were going to make us redundant; my shares don't mature until about May but if you leave the company before scheme ends then you're only entitled to your money back + interest, so instead of getting shares worth about £8000 I'd just get the £2500 that I put in which would suck, especially when we really need that money, Mama needs a new car!

Glad your job is safe Birdie, must be a weight off your mind. Would you have been okay if you'd stayed in your old team?

Good to know your job is ok Birdie, must have been scary.
Also good news for you NIm, sounds like things are going in the right direction.
No exciting news here. Weekend was pretty boring. Have let work know my return to work date and sorted out a keep in touch day for feb and hoping to do a couple more too.0 -
A bit 50/50 really, they were all put at risk and restructured before Christmas, I probably would have kept my job but would be doing more work and rotating hours over 3 different shifts so glad I didn't stay!

Phew so relieved for you Birdie, your share scheme sounds pretty good!
I have forgotton/missed that you were getting married too poddle, weddings all round
My bathrooms broken, again, and this time water is somehow running under the carpet on the other side of my bedroom - and through to the rooms below. Slightly scared room will collapse in the night or that the gerbil will be underwater when I wake up...

Actually, going to do a to do list today.
1. Update pregnancy diary
2. Do all ironing in lounge
3. Tidy lounge
4. Wrap all sold parcels on Amazon/swaps on RiSi
5. Sort out photo files
I could go on and on but 5 things is enough, and if I manage to do more then great.
I have done last month's chart and graph, but I don't know if NIM just screen shot's them to get the pictures or if I need to do something more fancy to upload them onto here.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
