Is it a boy than?
I thought I'd missed something here when you kept saying 'he'. One of my friends was convinced she was having a boy. Even the 4d scan she had made it look like a boy (she didn't really want to know the sex). But in the end she had a girl, so you never know

We have our boy name decided, girl name we're nowhere near on (we thought we had it right at the start, but now I'm uncertain whereas I've become more and more certain on the boy name), so we'll see if it's an amenable little one or trouble right from the start. Will be a lovely birthday present either way though. I think it's a lot easier to say 'so long as it's healthy' with the first one, I know with the second I'll probably really be hoping for the other type.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My boss was convinced she was having a girl for the second time. She actually cried when she realized baby was a boy at the birth, it took her 3 weeks to get over it, she wouldn't change it though now:).0

This was exactly what we were like. But I was convinced right from the very start we were having a boy so kept telling OH we didnt need to think about girls names.
With regards to work I would see what the consultant says, but by the sounds of it you should at least be reducing your working hours. When I was ill with low blood pressure when pregnant, I reduced my hours then took a month off before going back part time for a couple of months.
I am sure you will make the right decision whatever you dojust go with whatever you feel us right!

In good news the increased medication has already brought the bp way down, but on the flip side I'm utterly shattered on it and have already had 2 2hour naps today. Both times I think would have been longer were it not for the postman/phone ringing.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It sounds like you're really wiped out Dinah
I don't know much about pregnancy, but I would see what the consultant says too - if the doc recommends you're signed off work, then I would be inclined to take the advice. Nice that you have the support of your principal officer (? - is that your line manager?) and if you did feel you could work part-time I'm sure that would be appreciated.

Hello! Been on another stinking course so no time to come on and gossip! Shouldn't really complain though, it's another thing to add to my CV in case I need to look for another job at some point!
Boo to the crummy health Dinah. Agree with the others though, your health and your baby's health comes first, I'd ask about reduced hours and the possibility of working from home but it's good that your principal officer (?) is looking after you though, makes a worrying time a little easier to deal with.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

She's the second to my manager, he's on holiday this week. She also used to be a union rep so she's a bit scary if you cross her! I think I'll take a few days to think about it and discuss it with the consultant, at the end of the day I'd be devastated if the baby was really early and I didn't feel I'd done everything to keep them safe and healthy.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hello all! Back at work as normal today, glad my course is over, just have to wait for the exam results now... fingers crossed I passed! Was with 2 other guys from the office this time so the pressure's on not to fail!
How are you feeling today Dinah? Still shattered?
Has everyone got nice plans for the weekend? I'm not up to much, it's that awful quiet period before payday (only 14 days to go!) where we just want to spend as little as possible so we're going to be staying in I think. We've got Cars 2 in 3D to watch and I might make OH play Kinect Disneyland Adventures with me again, we played it last week and it's funny because I know my way around since we've been to the Magic Kingdom; OH was laughing at me when I headed straight for Space Mountain and I was saying, 'It's just down Main Street, turn right, over the bridge and round the corner!' and there it was!It isn't helping the feeling of desperately wanting to go back though, might start a little Disney savings fund to pay for a return trip!
