Feeling better today. The friends we were expecting may not be making it so there is a bottle of champagne between Mrs P and I (which was a present). Asda Price Guarantee pulled up £2.60 voucher as not 10% than Tesco.

    Any good resolutions going by?
  • Happy New Year guys! I am suffering big time today, but had a great night.

I don't know what to choose as my resolutions, this year will be a bit all up in the air. I'd like to cook more maybe, and take more polaroids but my cameras way too huge to take travelling with me and that's a big chunk of the year.

    Hope everyones feeling better :)

Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone that is feeling ill is getting better now.

Wendz - we all had the sickness bug so I know how you are feeling. It is yucky! Dinah - the sickness bug is like morning sickness so I remembered what that was like, so yucky and draining!

We had a very quiet evening last night but snuggled up by a roaring fire drinking wine, eating chocolates and thinking about how lucky we are to have 2 beautiful, healthy children x

Dinah I feel for you, I am suffering with ManFlu. On day 2 of this thing and only started the lemsips as there were none in the house. Although I did not appreciate the 3am wake up call the sore throat gave me as it started to kick in. Currently sleeping in second bedroom to give Mrs P the peace of me trying to sleep with this thing.

Only really recovered from my man-flu yesterday but threatening to come back today. That said Doc did give me an ear ful on not treating my asthma right and said it was linked to that so my own fault really.

Wee trip to Asda for the shopping today spent a bit more than planned but could be classed as a stock up shop. Plus they have Stella in bottles for £7 (£0.50 per bottle as 15 bottle pack) which cannot be sniffed at even with the cold. Just hope the price guarantee thing comes up with a nice voucher in the morning for them not being 10% cheaper than all the others. Did notice they are cheaper on many of the items we usual buy from Mr T. Parents also used Asda so I know what it is like and prefer some of there own brand stuff.

I've found the 2 to be much of a muchness up here among the dragons and klingons...although Asda seem to do better deals on booze.

Was nice having my dad and brother round although 3 trips to the airport in 4 days was a bit much. Old man was a bit worried about the amount of debt we have to clear though, so in typically daddy NIM style he gave a donation to the cause. Which was nice.

How's everyone elses first day back?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

    Hello all,

Hope you don't get the man flu again NIM. How nice of Daddy NIM with the donation.

No first day back here although i do need to let my work know when i'm going back. Also need to arrange my KIT (keep in touch) days but is a pain as OH is switching teams at work and not sure when so know idea what his shift pattern will be.

OH is off this week so we are going down to southampton for a couple of days. He doesn't have a weekend off till end of month so won't be going back for a while.

    Evening from Australia!

I've just read the last few pages - congratulations Wendz! That's such a cute story! I'm really pleased for you :D

Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. I am so incredibly happy to be here. Even seeing a post from ex-OH's girlfriend on his fb wall about 'how amazing the last 6 months have been' etc hasn't put me on a downer! I'm still in Melbourne. Gonna try and find a job and house share.

Christmas was the one bad day of weather I've had in Melbourne - storms and hailstones! Still good though cuz of the company. New year was messy. Coming here was the best thing I've ever done.

Birdie I am so craving those rolo pretzel things. They sound incredible!

    Hope everyone is well! xx
