12 hours for a full house move is impressive mate. Congrats on the new home.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

    How was everyone's weekend?

I focussed on sorting out the house rather than making money (driven by the need to find the MOT certificate). Finally found it last night at about 7pm, and discovered its due by the 22nd so very glad I found that! Also found we need a new cam-belt at 100,000 miles.... which we hit on Saturday. This month just keeps getting more and more expensive.

I did use some of our money made to do the bulk of our Christmas shopping over the weekend, only have my mums to make, best friend to buy and best couple friends to get a little something for. Should really make or buy a little something for my auntie, other grandad and next door neighbour too I suppose. And here was me thinking I was finished!

Mine's been surreal, to say the least. Got repeatedly asked to 'hook up' by a WWE wrestler, which is flattering but come on. Been sick since Thursday too so basically useless, barely eaten a thing as I can't keep anything down. Oh, the mental images I paint!

Costly week for us coming up too, although ours is more ticket-buying based. Be down by about £300 by the end of the week  Which is fine, we have it saved, but it's still a lorra money!

Funny with the Christmas presents, I'm just the same! Think it's all pretty much sorted and wham, another list of people pops up. Was watching X Factor with one of OH's friends on Saturday night and he got so amazingly excited when the Christmas Cola advert came on, then two minutes later calmly said 'Nah, I don't really get excited for Christmas' I was just sat there like 'GTFO!' I found you can get Jersey Shore ornaments, JERSEY SHORE. I want a Vinnie and Pauly D for our tree but OH says no :(

There was a post on the grabbit board about the coca-cola truck, apparently it tours the country and you can go see it and get free cans of mini coke.

    What tickets are you buying?

No way?! I got super excited about the advert on Saturday night too, Holidays are coming!! :j

Dinah, you should just make loads of cookies for those little presents for people, very MSE and from the heart! :)

I had a pretty organised weekend, cancelled the little DDs for silly things that we don't need but keep forgetting to cancel, we're going to cancel the gym membership and OH's looking for an exercise bike and some hand weights instead, the cost will be paid back within a couple of months since we won't be paying gym membership any more. I've also changed to British Gas energy smart so waiting for our little energy meter thingy to arrive, hopefully it'll save us money and make us more conscious of what we're using, not that we're bad right now but I'm sure we could be better!

Oh and my job for the week is to find out when the Olympic torch is passing through Alnwick and to book a hotel for that day so we can watch and go for the North's nicest steak afterwards! :)

Hope you're feeling better Cinny! Do you know who went from the X Factor last night? And is anyone surprised that Amelia Lily got voted back on?!

Oooh where is the North's nicest steak? Friends of ours have a holiday cottage up there so we're planing to go again soon.

I sent gingerbread men in the post once, they arrived lightly mouldy, headless and a bit dismembered. The recipient found it a little threatening! I'm just concerned so many food things don't last all that long. My auntie is very crafty though so I might make her something out of glass, could do the same for my other granddad easily enough too.

I bought my cross trainer on ebay as I could get a much better one second hand (and barely used) than I could if I bought it new. Might be worth considering if he wants a magnetic resistance rather than friction one (I had a friction one once, it was so loud I didn't use it, but then I think it was metal on metal rather than having working pads).

The tickets are for like, 3 wrestling thingamabobs next year. Will get £50 back for one ticket though as that's for one of OH's friends.

The cola lorry would be a waste on me, despite a summer affair with diet coke a few years ago I am a Pepsi girl. Unless I were to go stand next to it offering out cans of Pepsi instead, with a top saying 'Pepsi Revolution!'

Kitty went from Xfactor. I just caught the end, tbh I haven't really been watching it this year! Only watched it Saturday because it came on after football and it was that awkward 'I don't know this person, I don't know what to put on' moment, so it just kind of got let be while we complained about it. I heard Lady GaGa ran out on the Xtra Factor and gave Kitty a hug though, which is sa-weet!

My fuzzy head and eyes aren't playing well today. I keep reading nicest as incest and wondering how on earth that gets made into a steak _pale_

I'll make him check ebay, we definitely want a magnetic bike, had a cheapo friction one when we first moved in and it was rubbish! It was used as a clothes horse more than anything!

North's nicest (not incest!) steak is at Louis Bistro, it's owned by the local butcher and it's just delish, we go up to the coast for a weekend just so we can have a steak from there! :)

I'll have to have a try. Irish steak is amazing, I haven't found one over here that comes close unfortunately.

Just realised I forgot to defrost something for tonight's tea.. could be a hungry one.
