You need to have it for health reasons.
    End of.

I agree with this 100%. Hope you're feeling better soon :)

  • Hi Rising

My DH is in a similar position, he is quite poorly with neurology issues and if he did not have acupuncture every week (£40) he would not be able to work as it helps his head so much.

He is on a DMP and we have included it on there and no one has queried it. Luckily he gets some DLA, about £80 every 4 weeks which goes towards it.

I say keep having the massage.
  • Ohhhhh you guys are wonderful :A:A

Thanks all for the comments re the massage - it does honestly loosen everything up and help a lot (not really a relaxing one as it does hurt as she gets everything moving again! but wonderful the day after).:T

I had 8 weeks between appointments last time (missed one due to being on hol) and OMG, could I feel it!

I do feel guilty about spending the money on it ...... but will try not to from now on.

Eager Elephant (((hugs))) to your DH & hope he gets better soon - very interesting to hear that it helps so much. Someone suggested acupuncture to me the other week to see if it would help with the pain in my foot (which is down to the nerves being cut and things trying to fire off & getting all confused or something like that).

I did look into it (briefly!) but it was around £40 here too so haven't done anything about it. I'll keep that in mind and if it doesn't settle soon I'll give it a bash.

Feeling a bit better today :j Had to take Maisie to the vet this morning so 1st trip out in a week ....... was out cold for about 2 hours when I got home :rotfl:and must've even managed to sleep through the doorbell as there was a delivery on the doorstep when I eventually got up again :o

If you can get a pain clinic referral you get a wee course of accapuncture.

Still a bit weak & have to do something & have a break, do the next thing & have a break etc but ..... getting there.

Re acupuncture - my Mum is in bonnie S too and she had healing acupuncture on the NHS. I've also had it here on the NHS - there are evidently two types - that for pure pain relief and also for healing. Mine involved bouncing the needles off the bone to treat inflamed tendons and nerve damage In its' own way it was painful but it definately worked.

Definately worth following up with the Dr

    Best wishes

  • I'm back!:D

Awful lurgi finally seems to be on its way out :j (did still have to have a wee nap after lunch today tho':o) - very glad it was only a 3 day week!

I had a very spendy day yesterday :( don't know if it was down to being cooped up for a while (boredom?) or what but ...... actually feel a bit sick at the thought of updating the SoW.

Most of it was needed (new underwear especially! - had a bit of a errrr wardrobe malfunction the other day in that I had a skirt on and my pants wouldn't stay up :rotfl:). Emergency trip to a store in town where I work but had to get some new ones ...... OMG can't believe how much they are!

I then errrrr indulged myself in M&S to some new cups :o OMG I've got loads of cups but these are (I know excuses coming!) stunning and come in a little tower that takes up 1/2 the space of the mug tree ..... they were in the 20% off homewares bit but certainly not essentials :(

Also visited £land and got a few bits - mainly WW stuff which is a lot cheaper than the sm :j and also some tarpaulins to put over the bottom 1/2 of the fence (long story but Maisie can basically see right the way up the line of gardens - mine goes the opposite way and is at the bottom - so barks everytime someone comes out:eek:). Looks OK and for £1 each it was the cheapest solution :Dbut I am one short (beeping typical). I did get all they had but will need to try to get another - I've managed to get most of it done & the bit not done has quite thick bushes in front so not as easy for her to see out.

Also popped into a new discount shop that's opened (fatal!) - got a few dog bits at a good price :)

Then onto Mr A .... and that's where it all went t*ts up:( - I nearly fainted ..... £102 :eek::eek: I did get a few WW RM (for emergencies if I can't cook one night) and also a few different things to try (Quorn steaks etc) and a load of F&V but OMG

However, cupboards & freezers are full :D (can't actually get everything into the fridge :o and need to take everything out the freezer so I can try to get some more bits in there) so it beeping well better last a while!

Hope you're all well - will try to catch up on diaries over the next few days.
