Ohhhhh Rosa sorry but that did make me chuckle :rotfl:and well beats my my tale of having to walk to the Dr's trying to make looking like hanging onto the side of my skirt was totally normal!

Well - sorry I've been missing again folks - seem to have been mega busy since I got back to work & have been sleeping loads extra still in the evenings.
Just about there now but still having the odd nose blow etc so it's not been a nice thing to have at all.
Have some news ......... unfortunately not very MSE as I've bought a new (not brand new) car - went back to have another bash at the automatics I tried the other week and managed to wangle another couple of hundred for mine so .....;)
It's going to clean me out totally  and will prob be in the OD :eek: for a bit but it really had to be done as driving's becoming harder & harderand is essential where I live.
Good news is that as she's younger than my car (just over a year), I won't need to get an MOT next year (which I have been saving up for) and should hopefully not need anything new for a while!
I did have a look at something a bit bigger (Maisie unfortunately can't fit in the boot - and she hates being on the back seat) but just couldn't stretch that much so she'll have to make do:rotfl:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

:rotfl:Beanielou not at all! Honestly, once I'd driven one - that was it!:o (after saying I'd never have one too:rotfl:), it's just lovely to be able to drive along & not be in pain:)
SF another I10 http://www.hyundai.co.uk/new-cars/i10 - it's really a fab wee car & more than happy with the one I've got ..... just wish I could've put an automatic gearbox in it (not feasible - I did look into it).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Thanks SF - she is!:D
Really only slight changes to the exterior (lights mainly) from my current one but apart from that just the same.
Re-reading my previous post I realised it sounded as if it was just a year old - it's a year younger than mine.
I'll have tore-work the SOA (oh no, not again I hear you all saying) as the tax is more expensive (still don't understand how auto's have higher CO2 levels than manuals as you'd think with the car doing the gear changing they'd be better at it than us mere mortals:rotfl:) and it will use slightly more fuel.
Feeling quite sentimental about letting Dinky 1 go (I do get very attached to my cars & usually cry all the way to the garage when changing them:o) - and she was Ben's car IYKWIM.
However, I've been worried I'll either wreak the gear box or damage the engine as I've not been changing gear unless I have to and some of them ..... errrrrr leave a lot to be desired:o
Thinking I may try putting the back seats down & making it more like a mini-estate then Maisie can have that as she seems much happier in a "boot" rather than on the back seat. There's very rarely anyone else in my car & should only take a few mins to put back together if needs must.
Might be off to get some seat covers today (have 1/2 tank of fuel so might as well use it up!) - if she's going to be against the front seats, I'll need them as she's a total mud magnet  (and has managed to get the inside of mine filthy in just 3 months :eek:.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Some seat covers sounds like a good plan
and re-doing a SOA is a good thing, I regularly check ours and see if there's anything that could or needs to be cut back on

Had a play around with the seats in my current car today ...... unfortunately don't think seat covers will work as the bottom pad folds right out & sits behind the front seat IYKWIM ..... nevermind - I'll find something that'll do!:)
She's a very light blue (first one that comes up in the earlier link)- there was a black one that was absolutely gorgeous but black cars are a total nightmare to own. They look fab when they've just been washed & are in the drive - but as soon as you move them
