  • Fat club - meant to say earlier that I got a pretty good deal online.

3 months for £39.80 (which was £20 odd off the regular price) and £15 cashback!:money:

So .... £24.80 for 3 months = £1.90 / week which is great compared to going to classes @ £5.99 / week or a monthly pass of £20:j

Joined a fat club (online) - it's frustrating me already!

Joined the same one as the girls at work - unfortunately I can't make the meetings as they're at 6pm in the town where we work but I need to come home when I finish for Maisie.

Anyway, thought I'd join online so I'm hopefully kept on track by them going every week!

BUT they got a load of printed stuff with points values etc and I cannot for the life of me find it online - even just to print off. BEEP BEEP! I know you're meant to track online but it's just not poss to stop and look up a points value when you're walking around the SM - surely they must have something somewhere with the points values to print off ....

    Hey Rising,

It sounds to me that you have joined the same fat club as I go to. Is it WW? If it is then when you're buying just think that it is roughly 40 calories to 1 prop point plus 1. So something that is 200 calories divide by 40 = 5 then + 1 = 6.
That's really an estimate but seems to be what the message boards all say. You'll get used to it after a while and once you've pointed all your favourite foods it'll become easier to do.
I have all the stuff you get at the initial meeting so if you want to p.m. me your address I'd be more than happy to post it to you. I got to goal 8 weeks ago and don't use it anymore. :)

Yup it is - hopefully I'll get my head around it soon!:o

I did go WW many years ago when it was the old points system - and they seem to be totally different now (now a lot more in the same things!) Mind you, you used to have a lot less points / day too!)

I've just had my breakfast which came out at 13 points :eek: so will def need to try some cutting down there!

One of the problems with that is "my" milk (which was 4 points:eek:) which doesn't come in skimmed :( (and I'm afraid I cannot function without my HM *bucks type coffee in the mornings ....)

Will spend a couple of days logging what I eat and seeing what horrendous amounts I am eating each day! I have stuff to use up in the fridge etc & don't really intend to start until Mon.

One thing that has surprised me is that the points values of things like full fat butter and 1/2 fat butter seem to be the same under the new system (whereas 1/2 fat was lower in the old one) .... will take a bit of getting used to!

Thanks so much for the offer xx :j:j:j to target :T:T:T

Good luck with WW :) I use myfitnesspal to log what I'm eating - it's certainly an eye opener at times!

  • Thanks Slowly - may have a look at that as WW have only done an i-phone / i-pad app as yet ...... (which I'm not really impressed about tbh!)

  • Ohhhhh - meant to say earlier this week ... can't get onto the forums at work anymore!

Used to be able to read the forums, but not log-in, but that option's gone too.

Loads of websites are blocked (seriously!) - couldn't get onto any car websites either :(
