WARNING, this is a bit of a money rant (SF warned you;))
Dog walking - A plan of action!
Have a plan forming for the dog walking expenses .... (things tend to bug me once I think about them - as I'm sure you may know!:rotfl:)
OK - hope this makes some sort of sense - any suggestions welcome!:D
Right ..... 2 x play sessions / week @ £5 - say Tues & Thurs to split the week up
I've counted the number of plays needed each month until the end of the year & it varies between 8 and 9 - so, going with 9, that's £45 / month.
But most months, I don't need them all due to hols etc ...... so, if I put £45 / month away regardless of the number of plays required, I *should* have a surplus of around £100 by the end of the year
*Hopefully* this will mean that in the darker months when decent walks are harder to get during the week, I'll be able to have "proper walks" for her twice a week, rather than just plays:D
There is still a small shortfall (if I've worked it out right) but hoping this can come from a surplus in the cats budget (have been thinking about reducing this by £10 / month as have made huge savings by bulk buying etc & they're not costing as much as they did a year ago :T) and hopefully some savings in Maisie's budget too (although she does *owe* the last ditch emergency fund £200 atm:rotfl:)

Thanks SF!:)
Meant to say that I spoke to DM earlier & Maisie is fine! She's had 3 small meals today & all errr bodily functions  are errr functioning
DM keeps dropping hints that Maisie is adorable (which I know!), gets on really well with their dog (great!) and that her & my dad appear to have a mutual appreciation society all of their own (fab!) but a few hints that they'd be happy if she stayed there!:(Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

:j to the dog walking plan sounding feasible (came to me around 3am this morning
) but wasn't sure if I'd totally lost the plot with it!
SF thanks for putting a positive spin on Maisie having such fun at DPs house:T
I am trying to persuade them to move closer so I could drop her off on the way to work and pick her up on the way home;)
They are very isolated where they are and I do worry (especially in winter) in case something happens - they were cut off (totally) for over 6 weeks last year
ETA turning in now - really tired as been a stressful couple of days - have just had to correct about 4 spelling mistakes in the above post .... time for zzzzzzzzGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

It's that time of the week again
Weekly pots update
Pets £275.62 Spent £70.56  = £205.06 *
Car & House £617.54 Spent £341.78 = £275.76 #
Others £186.26
Savings £90.72 ~
* Incl the new dog walker fund:) - however have Maisie's Op to pay for £200:eek: (think this may have to come out the "last ditch emergency account" which has £130 in it & ~ the rest from the round down savings account ......).
# £227.90 house insurance renewal & advance line rental of £113.88 both on on June cc bill. Advance line rental was short so used the money that I've finally got back from closing my E*gg account (only took them 4 months to give it back ) - seemed a better option than having it in a negative to start off withGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
