That's a lot of 's!
Hope Maise is settling in well0 -
It sure is!
I can't believe how much her fund has dropped to already! (another one for good measure) - although most are one-off costs.
Will have to check out my CU account - last ditch emergencies - only put £10 / month in and it was raided before Christmas for a new fridge freezer so I can maybe get £50 from it ...... ohhhh myyyyy:o still - her money for next month will be going in (and I won't need to buy anything else for her next month) so that'll bring it up to £100...... 1/2 way there!:)
As a last resort I could use the "round down savings" so that's another £70 - just about there!
I guess the cats could lend her the shortfall!;)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

:rotfl:Love that!
I did have money set aside to do it but it was used for the advance line rental (which makes big savings each month;)) as I'd given up all hope of finding another dog- typical!
Nevermind ...... we'll get there & she's worth every penny(would've been nice if she'd not needed her jabs too tho';)).

Morning all ..... it's NOT raining :j:j - not that nice either :rotfl:(missly IYKWIM) but at least it's not outright raining.
Onto my 3rd load of muddy dog towels  - oh boy, does Maisie like muddy puddles;)
Anyway.... that time of the week again - can't believe I've not managed to post at all this week - amazing how it takes time to get back into a routine with the dog:o

Finally managed to get some dry cat food at a "reasonable" (but not great) price.
Honestly, I've been looking for ..... weeks!
Last time I managed to get 10kg for £40 (delivered) - RRP is £56. I've been struggling to find anything under £50!
Got my weekly email from one of the pet places I order from (but haven't for ages as their prices aren't as competitive as they used to be) with a £10 off my next order.
So .... 10kg bag for £42.50 (delivered) - not too bad I guess ...... and it does last them a good 5 months!;)
Finally seem to have managed to tire out Maisie!:j We met a young (lunatic) lab at the beach and the pair of them had a good chase around.
Wee cat came running into the lounge just before (Maisie was sleeping thank goodness:eek:) - but only stayed for around a minute before her bravery ran out and she bolted back upstairs:rotfl:. Hope they all settle down soon - I miss having the cats down here! Maisie just wants to say "hello" but just bounces at them and they freak a bit (eg run & then Maisie runs too!).
They are getting braver tho - big cat will sit this side of the stair gate but will jump through if Maisie gets too close.
Bad news is the hinge on the fuel flap on the car has finally broken (has always been dodgy) and had a h*ll of a job to get it open today . I think the tiny wee bit left will have broken now it's shut again and panicking a bit :eek: as can't get to the garage next week & will need fuel before next weekend :eek: - will have to phone them on Mon & see if they can suggest anything ..... fingers crossed!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

What kind of dry food do you buy? I bought two 4kg bags of PAH own brand for £10 last week. Our two are OK with it in that they both eat it but I am getting lots of pleading little mews from the smaller but more rotund puss - most indignant that the wet food has clearly been forgotten by her human! Actually, it's the summer flies that put us off feeding them wet food in the summer.
We had our old Landy MOT'd and serviced yesterday and in it's own indestructable way, it got through. The man at the garage said it probably doesn't need a full service every year but it's a good way to make sure it is properly roadworthy as it only gets serviced annually so while it passes, we will carry on with it. Apparently the fact that I can see daylight between the top of the door and the frame is fine; as is the little pile of rust that falls out of the door every time I slam the door.:rotfl:
Maybe your cats need a little encounter with Maisie - our old dog got a swipe across the nose to let her know who was boss and they were fine after that. It's great that she's settling down.
Your credit card will be aggravation if there are rogue transactions on the statement but you will get them back (just some are better than others at dealing with it). Fingers crossed the CC company have sorted it out.
All the best

Evening Rising.
Just catching up with all your news - congrats on the new arrival (she's gorgeous!), and boo hiss to the cc problem. Hope it all gets sorted soon.

They get Royal Canin Light 40 - it is the only (believe me, I've tried) dry food they will both eat and as wee cat needs to lose a few pounds the only other alternative to a lower fat one is one of the prescription ones (which are extortionately expensive!).
They also get RC Indoor 27 - really as big cat likes it (and he needs to put on a few pounds *sigh*). It lasts a lot longer, last time I managed to get 4kg bags (£28) on BOGOF and each bag lasts 4 monthsso that worked out at £3.50 / month.
It's not too bad really (£8.50 + £3.50 = £12) so £6 per month per cat:D.
Big cat does get pouches (some days he doesn't eat any and others he eats 2) - I did manage to get some Whiskas on offer a while ago (thanks again Fresian;)) so have enough to last a couple of months still.
Wee cat's really not fussy about wet food - I do have some wee tins (pate style is the only wet she'll eat *sigh*) and she gets the odd one - should have enough to do until the end of the year:rotfl:.
(yes, I know I'm their slave........)
Congrats on Landy passing it's MOT - my dad always says, if you regularly change the oil etc and carry on with servicing (which a lot of people don't both with once they get older) it will save loads of money in the long run and the car will go on forever!
Nora lovely to see you - yup, she is adorable (but a monkey;)) - must catch up on your diary:o
Plan for today
Well, it's beautiful outside :j:j (about time too!) - although ..... wait for it ..... we had frost! It's the middle of May!
Popping down to DM & DF for lunch:j
