They needed to sort that "stable door" out that had been chewed by a dog.
Did they have a dog or was it the kids chewing it?

Some people just don't see it, it's bizarre. I've been in a house recently that is on the market and they can't work out why it isn't selling. Er, could it because it smells of the rodents you keep in it, it's poorly decorated and dirty? No? Oh well then i just can't think what the problem is...

It was basic but how many houses are we signposted to on rightmove via the threads on here that have the most appalling clutter. I hate to think what they smell like.

One friend couldnt sell for 18months. We blitzed it in a weekend and she got an offer within 2 weeks. She didn't see the crap in her house and the black painted teenagers bedroom etc etc as a barrier to selling. It was of course.

House buying is often aspirational. You are selli g a lifestyle. Not many people want one full of clutter and cat crap.

  • I couldn't believe the dozy husband's comment about living in a show-home for 6 months when apart from the general state of the decoration/presentation they let their kids drop food wrappers in the garden and even after the 'makeover' they let someone leave a bogey on the wall..........yeuck :(
