Well it's a bit windy around here today! We popped out earlier and got caught in a massive rain storm  looked like drowned rats by the time we managed to get back to the car:rotfl:

    Few little spends today
    • £3 - new cutlery tray - ours is too small and the knives keep getting caught in it making me  so it's now sorted :T
    • £2 - new peeler, OH broke the other one
    • £4 - burger press - wanted one for ages, will be trying lentil burgers in the next week or so
    • £8 - new sunglasses for OH, he's left his at his mates
    • £5.50 - tights, for the wedding next weekend
We've also ordered some privacy window film (£15) for the living room, which is at the front of the house, as people who are walking past keep taking a look in. I've never experienced it before as I've always lived in houses with back living rooms so it's probably just a bit of paranoia :rotfl:but for £15 i'm willing to try the film stuff, then we can sit in our pants to our heart's content  *

Got a Y0ugov payout coming so that should pay for that little lot nicely :T I love some free stuff :D

    Hope everyones ok xx

    * totally a joke ;)

    It's disaster day today :(

I was asked to do a wedding cake for tomorrow and I agreed as it was "only" cupcakes:o .. just assumed i'd remember how to bake since I stopped in January, but, apparently I don't.

I've had to bake double the amount I needed just to get some half decent looking ones :( thought it might be my oven playing up but I checked the temperature and it was fine!

Question is what do I now do with 70 broken cupcakes, 5 lemons, 10 eggs and an OH that's too scared to come home in case I explode  :rotfl:

Oh and the mortgage people have asked us to change the product we applied for on the grounds that we don't meet the 65% LTV rate due to the valuation people under-valuing our property - lazy mares didn't even come to visit, just said that the property is the same value as it was 2 years ago... even though we've renovated the house and the garden since then

Ohhhh there are a lot of bad smilies in this one today sorry - I'm not actually stressed or angry like I should be, it's almost like the calm before the storm

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D does that even it out a bit?

  • Glad to hear I'm not the only one to frighten off an OH with my venting.

:rotfl: Nope, me too.. it's one of the reasons I had to stop baking for people, I think i'd have ended up with a divorce :o he used to go out quite a lot!

Disaster cakes are now finished with the decorations, lady is on her way to fetch them.. i'm knackered, can't wait for bed but I need to eat first (OH fetched pizza :o not good for diet!)

Thanks Goldie, her and her fiance seemed quite pleased with them. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product later all set up on the stand etc..

Just been a bit extravagant and had my hair done at the hairdressers :o I was having my roots done anyway so I had it all curled and styled too - £60  it only usually costs me £33.. well it looks nice though so I guess that's what counts!

Off to grab some lunch and then get ready.. x

    Morning all..

Wedding was lovely, if a bit of a long day. OH was over the moon, he took £50 but only spent £20 :D he'd refused to do rounds as his friends drink a lot and I only drink a couple of cokes, and bless him he stuck to his guns even thought they were taking the mick.

He then treated us to the chippy last night with the left over money :o but I reckon he's still got some in his pocket :j

Anyway day off today so just making my list to get everything done :
    - do a workout :(done - I hate exercise
    - put a wash on - done, dried and put away
    - sort out kitchen cupboards and clean - done, inventory done too
    - meal planner for at least a week
    - put up the window stuff - can't do - should have read the instructions first - need a squeegee (sp?)
    - send off documents again for mortgage stuff - done
    - get up to date with diaries - doing
    - update spreadsheet (payday Wednesday :j)done
    - update surveys spreadsheet - done, owed £50 from NVL
    - ring npower because they keep emailing me - done, absolutely pointless phone call
