    Im with ali-t!

I once had a date with a guy who I got on amazingly well with online but when we met up he didnt seem to have much to say so this left me to make the conversation flow (good job Im a chatty person!). even open questions were answered briefly where as online he would rabbit away like no tomorrow!
in the end I cut the date short and made a quick exit!

can the more "experienced" internet daters tell me, if you find someone who you find really attractive through their messages and photo and really click with when messaging each other, is a date almost guaranteed to go well? I'm terrified meeting said person will be a big let down

Sometimes the more contact you have the more messages back and forth for days or even weeks as some ladies insist, once you actually get them out on a date you both run out of things to say as you have pretty much said it all...
In my experience if you think there may be a spark dont mess about go out for a drink or a coffee and dont waste time messaging and texting..
You build up a picture in your mind of them and this often can be a letdown because they arent as you thought they would be..

Just my take on my experiences on pof..

This is EXACTLY what I'm worrying about we've arranged a date but not free for a week so hundreds of messages are going back and forth, and I'd hate it not to match up in real life

Been along time since I posted in here.

I walked away from 'Internet dating' mainly because it just didn't work out for me - after many failed attempts.

Very few dates - less then the number of fingers on my hands.

Decided to spend the time just being me, relaxing, reading, getting out and becoming more socially apt shall we say (Used to be nothing but work, home, bed, work, home, bed, work, home, bed etc)

Also decided to write more - almost finished a little book going to call it "Internet Dating - The Virtual Truth" based on my experience of it - never know it might get published, though doubtfully.

Still sort of looking though not on line for some one.

I have used various dating sites for a while now, and even though I am not seeing anyone at the moment, I have great fun reading some of the more outrageous adverts some men put on. The usual things like taking a walk along the beach and then going for coffee is the usual first date line. Now I do live reasonably near to a beach, but it is in the North of England and the wind is unbelievably strong, so not my favourite place to go on a first date, I would look like I had been dragged through a hedge at the end of it haha.

I came across this one the other day and had to copy it, only for the fact that the man is being honest! I wonder how many replies he got...

Think my name is self-explanatory in terms of what I'm looking for... and yes, I am married. But if you're ok with that and happy to be a displayed little trashy trophy girlfriend who gets showered with trinkets, top-ups and bling, do please get in touch
