hi TUS and other suggestions
I have got the phone and sim card and about to cancel my contract.
After having a look on mobile, I do not think this mobile worth a £10 a month contract. I could get a bettter mobile and just a slightly lower monthly calling allowance for this sum of money. But anyway our intention is to get a free mobile not the contract so time to cancel the contract.
As your suggestion, I have not opened the SIM CARD YET. Please boost my confidence a little bit. I am aware you mentioned whne they were asking why did you to cancel yur contract, you mentione something like "I CHANGE MY MIND"
But when they query further why do you chnage your mind and yo have not even tried yet. What do yo think the best response for this.
Thank you
ADINDASThe last few posts above yours explain it all
Ring 3 on 01442 456050 and cancel within 14 days (dont use the SIM).0 -
My undestanding if we retrun it within two weeks it means this will apply
http://www.three.co.uk/Support/Device_Support/Returns
AND NOT this
http://www.three.co.uk/Support/Device_Support/Returns
"Purchases from other retail outlets.
If you bought your device from a third party retailer (not one of our 3Stores, Three.co.uk or our Telesales team) and you want to return it, please refer to that store’s return/exchange policy. Only your selected third party can deal with your return. If you have used any of our services, you will be charged for what you've used.
What to do next.
In all circumstances you must return your device to where you bought it.
- If you bought from a 3Store you will need to return it to that
store.
- If you bought from Three.co.uk call us on 0844
481 1331.
- For Telesales call 0843 373 3333 from any phone
or just dial 333 free from an alternative Three phone.
- If you’re a Business customer contact your Business Account
Manager or call us on 0843 373 3337 from any phone.
If you’re unsure what to do or who to contact call 0843 373 3333 and we’ll let you know.
All calls cost 5p/min from a BT landline, other networks may vary.
Make sure you always retain copies of your receipt and proof of postage. Any eligible refunds will be in the same form as your original payment.
So my understanding we should cancel it from TEsco and not from three. I got confused because TUS suggested that he canceled it from Threee and not from TESCO ??.
did they make mistake or my understanding is incorrect. Your opnion please. As stated the phone is not from 3.0 -
OK - to clarify. The tariff you are signing up to is sold by Tesco but the contract itself is with Three. You probably can cancel via Tesco, but you can equally go straight to Three as they are the ones who your contract is with. You get sent a letter from them shortly after the phone welcoming you and inviting you to register on their website. Bills all come from Three. So call Three and cancel.
Three only know about a SIM ONLY contract and that is what you are cancelling. Tesco have given the phone as a free gift. HTH.0 -
The "What to do next" part on that link only applies if you got the handset from Three.0

Hi, I have received an email from Tesco today saying they have the mobile in stock now, followed by another email saying the phone/sim has been dispatched through citylink. Now when I receive it should I have three and disconnect the line under the cooling off period, assuming I dont have to return the handset back? TCB has been tracked. MS0

Regardless if you pay the initial contract fee or not....are these phones use able without paying an unlocking fee?0

It feels wrong to order dozens of these contracts, cancel them all immediately, and sell the free phones on ebay.
There's no doubt it's unethical, but is it illegal?0
