Has anyone tried this and it is successful, I mean they did not ask the Handset back ?

From previous posts we only heard assumption/opinion we have not heard someone has successfully cancelled the contract during the cooling off period without problem at all ?

If we could cancel it during the cooling off period and still get the handset then this is certainly the best method of canceling the contract as we will get Handset for nothing and no commitment at all !

Ah, so if I don't want the service, I can call and cancel within the cooling period (with 3) on the proviso that the SIM isnt opened yet? And a free handset? Fantastic!

What number did you call from a non-3 phone?

Yes, this is what I have done. I am sitting here with the handset and my contract is cancelled. No charges at all have been made.

I have got the handset and SIM card delivered to me today.
I will not open the SIM card package as I am trying to cancel it on Monday and see how it is going.

The Handset is locked to 3. Is there way to unlock ourselves using the unlock code, if any is avalable?

It wasn't '3' who supplied the phone.

Tesco may request the phone be returned, that is once they find the connection was cancelled.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I think you may be giving yourself grief.

If you ring up to cancel within the 14 days cooling off period without using the phone or activating the sim, 3 will surely expect the phone to be returned? This is the normal way to deal with cancelled orders?

As stated the phone is not from 3.
  • As expected the Quidco cashback has been declined.

The only surprise is how quickly the decline came through!
