£10 1 month rolling contract with android phone

Just to update that TCB have increased mine from £40 to £70 to match quidco. Be interesting if the c/b gets confirmed or not ... mega bonus if it does.0

Received a delivery today from Tesco expecting it to be the phone and SIM, but it was just the SIM. Spoke to Tesco who advised they have no stock of the handset and are awaiting more stock. ETA is end of this week > start of next week and it will be sent via CityLink (the same as the SIM). The 30 day contract doesn't start until the SIM has been activated.
Hope that helps anyone else in the same boat.0 -
This sounds interesting.
It could just be that they have a load of old phones to clear, and giving them away, is cheaper than recycling, plus some users will stick.
I might give this a go.0 -
My SIM arrived yesterday, the phone arrived today!
If I hadn't opened the SIM pack I could have cancelled via the 7 day cooling off period - though I imagine they might have asked for the phone back if I'd done that =]0 -
Giving notice on my account is appearing to be more complicated than I would have expected.....
Three are saying it's impossible to give 30 days notice while still within the 14 day cooling off period.
So the minimum contract period isn't 30 days (as advertised), it's actually 14+30 = 44 days.
So far I've been passed between 2 3 4 5 departments in my pursuit of a satisfactory resolution; been put on hold 2 3 4 times, and had to wait in 2 3 queues! 0_o
40m 15s; finally resolved!
Notice given, contract will terminate on 11 Nov; I will be charged for the period 30(31?) day period 11 Oct - 11 Nov.
That was WAY more hassel than I expected. (and I antisipate it'll no doubt go wrong at some point...)
:edit:
And owwwww! my bicep hurts from holding my phone for so long!
You think I can make a personal injury claim?0 -

My phone also arrived today after being told it would be later. So that's good.
Let me know how you get on cancelling. I've not activated my SIM yet so would be great to know the correct process, etc.
I wonder if that means you are technically bound into 2 x months payments then? (£20)0 -
I think it's 14+30=44 days in fact.
However, '3' CS are talking rubbish as usually.
Under DSR it is 7 days, not 14.
Even if it is 14 under '3' returns policy, it applies only to an unused sim, and the sim was bought from Tesco, not from '3'.0 -
Don't see the cashback sticking, that's for 18 or 24 month contracts, and this is neither.0

Quidco also say "Excludes SIM only". This deal is listed in the 'sim only' section at Tesco.
However, TCB say just "Non Tesco Mobile Monthly Contract"0
