If your speedo says 50 it`s know use guessing it`s so much under then speeding up.

In the USA they have good roads with a speed limit in most states of 55mph.
In this country we have crap,crowded roads and the government thinks it`s a good idea to raise the limit to 80mph.
A cut to 60mph would make more sense.

Its not the law - its ACPO guidelines which Scamera Partnerships etc can choose to follow or not, and I believe most do.

Would you care to point out where I have suggested that any of the above sort of driving is OK?

All I did point out is that driving too slow is inconsiderate to other road users and would be a fail in the driving test for just that reason.
