I have a n older copy of a book which is shortly due to be re-released - and it wouldn't let me list it at all - even by "cheating". It knows the ISBN and the edition - just says it is ineligible for listing" I've hung on to it for now as I didnt know what else to do with it!.0

Thanks guys - knew you would come up trumps! Off to try listing it again.
My sales this week has been nil - so gonna have a HUGE WHINGE in the hope that the selling fairy will come my way!!
I went to an auction this morning and managed to get 4 boxes of books for £8. They are all brand new and therefore in excellent condition. Thre are a few duplicates though. Is it correct that I can only list one copy at a time? I don't mind if that is the case, might try listing them on ebay.0 -
Hi Christina
Sounds like you had a result at the auction, well done.
You should only have one listing for each title but there is an option on the listing page to set the number of copies to whatever number you have.
So if you have 4 copies and sell one, you won't get an end of item email just a Sold Dispatch Now email and the number of copies in your open listings will reduce by 1.
Hope that makes sense.

teapot2 wrote:Hello everyone - I hesitate to say it in case I jinx sales but been doing ok - had 6 decent sales in the last 7 days which is very good for me [150ish listed].
I have a question can't quite work this out though its prob v obvious. I sold a Star Trek book, I've got quite a few more listed [I'm selling them for my niece alright - she inherited a loftful when she moved house].
I'd thought of emailing the buyer the usual confirmation of posting and adding in a bit about having more for sale in case he's interested. My questions are;
1. Is it against any Amazon policy to do that?
2. How do I find out what the link to all of my listings is - presuming there is one so's I can add it into the email?
Hope sales improve for everyone - BTW Soolin, I always think of the selling fairy as a 'she'
Anyone got any ideas on this????had another look but still can't find anything - maybe you need to be a pro-seller?
TIA Teapot0 -
If it was me teapot I'd go ahead and show them my list - go to any of your listings and click on your name, then you'll see 'other items from this seller ' at the top left side, and I think the fairy is a she too....0

I have just had my first book sold on Amazon after 4 hours and I must say im pretty chuffed, well its only £1.90 and I still have to pay for P&P but its a start.
Any hints and/or tips to keep my P&P costs down would be gratefully received and also any info to help make successful sales would be appreciated.

Hi
I have only ever sold 1 book on Amazon that was a free GI Health book I maid about £2 from it so I was well chuffed.
But I am thinking of getting into this Amazon selling a lot more.
I have been trying to rack my brain to think of places I could pick up books cheap so here is a list I have come up with if you have anymore please add to it
Carboots
Charity shops
Local papers
Ebay (not sure about this. Will this be people selling the books they can't sell themselves?)
Hopefully join you all selling on Amazon soon0 -
I always reuse jiffy bags. Also if you have a book that would move from being a large letter into the packet category when put into a jiffy bag use a couple of strong envelopes one inside the other instead - just as secure but not as thick.Oh dear, here we go again.0
