This is the first time I have posted anywhere on MSE so please forgive any errors.
I have just started selling books on Amazon and would like to add images. There are details about what is an acceptable image but I can find nothing about how to upload images. A related question is - does one have to use image hosting or will they upload from the hard drive like they do for ebay?
You can only add images if you actually created the listing yourself. It is possible to comment on and report incorrect images but you can't upload images yourself.Do You Twitter?

Thanks for the reply rare stuff
As I said I am new to this. What do you mean about creating the listing myself? Presumably by not using Amazon's page to input? But - how can I do that?
I have been listing on ebay for many years and am used to that system but it seems that Amazon does things rather differently.
If I create a listing in Word, for example, and have related images on my hard drive, do I then have to use a Web host (not something I have done before)? I take it that I can't upload from my computer directly to Amazon?0 -

A pro-merchant subscriber can create new listings on the amazon databse from scratch if the item does not already appear in the uk or any other amazon catalogue. By creating a new listing you are invited to upload an image for it. The options to create a new listing are available from your seller account page.
You can upload direct from your computer, but your listings will need to be in a format that amazon recognises. Also you will have to be a pro-merchant to use this bulk upload tool.

I still have a few books, cd's & dvd's to list, some of them have loads listed at 1p. Would you still list in the hope someone might want to buy yours over the however many others listed? Obvisously I don't want to sell for 1p unless the postage makes it worthwhile so may put some on a bit higher (£4-£5 usually)2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

I've been really surprised by the 1p sales, most of my sales have been made up of these, even if there are 300 or so listed. I think the books must be so popular that there is always a good turnover. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0
