I rambled on about your first query in my earlier post, hopefully I won't ramble on too much answering these.

I have no idea what kangaroo pouches are or what they look like,

Though I am aware of a professional seller who does offer a buy one get one free (bogof) offer on some of his stock, he did have to get written permission to do so due to the number of refunds he would be making on a regular basis. I'm not 100% sure if he still is operating this offer, but as far as I am aware it is the only example of a seller offering this kind of deal on amazon.

If anyone wants to see Chris' BOGOF offer it's here:

Though am aware of one rather eccentric seller who recycles fishfinger packets to act as stiffeners/protectors for his books and he maintains 100% feedback!!.

The use of ready meal boxes for packaging gives a very mixed bag of feedback, I have been known to use inside out frozen food boxes myself for Green Metropolis books - they can look very professional if you use the ones with the 'waxy' brown insides and tape all round with brown tape.

Anyway, to lift your spirits on a gloomy Sunday morning, here is a selection of 'packaging' related feedback - courtesy of The Thug:

5 out of 5: "I have been looking for this book for a looooong time as I lost my original copy. Hilarious packaging by the way. Keep up the good work!"

4 out of 5: "Book was fine, not so sure about the packet of fishfingers it came in..."

3 out of 5: "arrived promptly, packing a little odd, book not in as good condition as expected"

5 out of 5: "A seller with a sense of humour. Brilliant !!! Definately buy from again. Fast Delivery & Book in Good Condition. Thanks."

5 out of 5: "Excellent - even came in recycled packaging"

5 out of 5: "Excentric packaging- and wonderful service- thanks."

3 out of 5: "Fast delivery, packaging left a lot to be desired"

4 out of 5: "Arrived at work address in a frozen food box. Colleague thought it was a bomb!" :rotfl:

5 out of 5: "sometimes a pie box is just fine - many thanks"

4 out of 5: "good service but book was packged in ready meal box"

2 out of 5: "item similar as described but packaging awful"

5 out of 5: "Brilliant packaging: unexpected and fun use of old boxes"

5 out of 5: "Excellent. Liked the unusual recycled packaging!"

5 out of 5: "Glad to see recycled packaging. Great service. Would use again"

My all time favourite has to be the one whose colleague thought it was a bomb.

  • Thanks guys,

My reason for wanting 2 accounts is im currently selling my brother - in -laws books and ones that are my own that ive read myself and books ive purchased to sell on. I thought it may be easier to keep them separate for tax purposes.

The kangaroo pouches are here http://www.postalexpress.co.uk/product.php?show=blue

Ive requested a free sample pack and you get quite a few but they dont seem much cheaper then jiffy bags so i will see.

will go back and thank you all later, off book buying !!

I know that feedback of 4 out of 5 is still good but I can't help but feel narked at my recent one. I had bought a bundle of books for myself, all brand new and unread. I listed them thinking they would take a while to sell so i would have time to read them, and I listed them as 'very good' as of course I anticipated reading them first. However one sold immediately so I sent it straight out completely unread.

My feedback says excellent condition for a 2nd hand book and delivered fast ..yet only 4 out of 5.

Oh well, it still leaves me at 100% so I suppose I shouldn't moan.

I've only sold about 12 items on Amazon and have just had my second feedback - 'Fast delivery - book as described 4 out of 5' I know it doesn't affect my 100% feedback but agree it is disappointing. Makes you wonder what you have to do to please some folk. Still that's what comes of dealing with the public I guess.

How low do you have to go to lose your 100% feedback? Is it 3 out of 5?

Sadly, 3 out of 5 does act as a negative in that it reduces your %ge.

  • The Amazon pre-order list - is it only in Word or can you export it into Excel to filter or order it?

    thanks

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
