A page of my listings seems to have disappeared when I look at my Open Listings  Anyone else had this happen?

I noticed over on the Amazon Sellers Discussion Board that a couple of folk there have had the same prob. Am not sure if the 'missing' books are available for sale as I can't think which ones are not listed to check via a search.

Did have a sale last night but nothing today.....:p

Have you saved any of the Amazon Listing Confirmation Emails? They might give you a clue.

I seem to remember that this was mentioned before possibly on Thread 7 or maybe even earlier and possibly by Katchambers or someone else beginning with K?? [soz to Kat if I got that wrong :o ] I too have an old mobile that doesn't take photos or connect to the interweb so for now will just have to rely on what I think will sell and am getting better at it....

Yeah it was me teapot - thanks! I found out in october or something, and it is very useful. No one seemed to bothered about it when I mentioned it tho, perhaps because most of us have old phones. Anyways, glad someone else is making good use of that idea.

That scoutpal thing is a good idea, thanks rupert.

Has anybody used that huge list to any effect? Needle in a haystack comes to mind! Though there are 18,000 titles to go hunting for :)

I have managed to buy and sell 3 items from this list for a very lovely profit. It takes a lot of time and effort though and it is easy to get the wrong edition or publisher!

    A general question...

What book to sale ratio do people tend to have? (ie how many books listed to number of average sales)?

And with this ratio what type of books make up the majority of the listings (ie 1p books etc)?

I have listed about 250 books and have sold 150 or so of these ....most of my books listed are non-fiction and are worth between £2 - £20 I guess. Just wondering what works for others as Im thinking about bulk buying lots of books and not being as selective as I am at the mo when buying...

    Cheers guys

My sales ratio is between 1:10 to 1:15 (which means for every 10-15 books I have I sell 1). I have 785 books listed and sold 19 in the last 7 days, oh yeah and I don't sell 1p books, the lowest I have is 90p which gets me £3 after fees. HTH

Is there a 'wanted' list that can be viewed by traders who aren't pro-sellers?

  • The amazon list is just for pros but there is one on greenmet this is much more manageable - of course the price is fixed but it might be worthwhile to have a look through.
  • Just noticed that some one has upped the ante on the 1p books by offering a free second class stamp with every book!
