FFM, don't worry! My keyboard gets stuck on some letters so they either get missed entirely or end up in the wrong order. Sometimes even after I run through and check for mistakes my posts can still look like some weird sort of code.

  • oops naughty word apparently - *ss maybe ;)
  • I'll second the health warning from FFM on using selective. I wouldn't use them.
  • I've used both selective and the other one -with no problems - but I was worried I have to say. The DHL man that came the second time upgraded it to next day FOC 'cos it wasnt on his form - so he just filled it in!
  • Ive used payperdrop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Payperdrop for next day deliveries, it costs £5.99 and not had any problems with them at all, the only drawback being that you have to make your buyer promise to stay in on the delivery day or the fee will have to be paid again for a new delivery but if you can make it work with your buyer it's a very cheap and efficient service, I don't know how these couriers and DHL make any money on this at all

I used Payperdrop for the first time last week and had two parcels both collected by DHL on day given, one of the buyers was'nt there to receive delivery.
DHL redelivered to an alternative address provided by the buyer on the following day all arranged by him. (No additional charges) Only found out when the buyer e-mailed to let me know!
Not sure if this happens in all cases though

I decided that since going pro I ought to have a system for double checking my book pricing regularly. I used to check them each time i had to relist and often made adjustments so I now keep a book and try and check a page of books every few days.

I have noticed though that on my listings even where it shows me as the lowest price, when I actually check I am sometimes so expensive that I am several sellers down the list. I just had some for instance that showed on my listings as 'lowest priced. yet I had been undrcut on one by 7 sellers? Very odd.

    Hi Soo

It only compares you to the other sellers with the book in the same condition. So if you are selling an 'acceptable' at £2 and I undercut you with a 'like new' at £1.99, you will show up as 'lowest priced' on your summary table.

  • Soo - would that be because they were in a different condition category?

A page of my listings seems to have disappeared when I look at my Open Listings  Anyone else had this happen?

I noticed over on the Amazon Sellers Discussion Board that a couple of folk there have had the same prob. Am not sure if the 'missing' books are available for sale as I can't think which ones are not listed to check via a search.

Did have a sale last night but nothing today.....:p
