Jumble sales do still exist, but I think it is mandatory to make sure you have greasy hair and smell before you attend.
My DD and I went to one recently and it was A W F U L, we kept getting squeezed out by rather smelly people (sorry if I'm coming over as rather 'ist' but it was really bad) and this bloke kept pushing himself against me!!! I tried to stand my ground but in the end I just had to move.
In spite of that though, the prices at Jumble Sales are usually very good no more than 10p per book, if you can get to the front of the crush or wait until the end.

Are thier listings on the net of book sales/bootsales etc? I have been looking for library sales and checking the local papers and no luck....
Where do you guys usually here about "book selling events??"Dec - 21 Books
Jan - 100 Books
Feb - 89 Books
March - 38 and counting0 -
Our local paper's web site has listings of indoor car boots etc. - and our freecycle Cafe group has a calendar where we encourage listing the jumbles etc. Googling iwth the name of the town and jumble etc often works but Google is hardly up to date by its very nature.
Never been to a book fair event on the basis that all the other sellers will be there too!!!0 -

Now I know people put silly prices up but i've checked on bookfinder and its the same
Any ideas (before I get too excited)

Does anyone know the link to the 'wanted books' list (or whatever it's called) in Amazon? I am sure there was a section where ppl listed the books they wanted to buy...."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0
