    Hi TBF

I have never gone hunting for a book based on the list, but I have used it when I've been listing books and one has come up with 'buyer waiting'. I used the list to check what prices the buyers had input for each condition.

  • Welcome Wilf :)

Addiction is just round the corner - if it hasn't hit already! It's OK though - the rest of us have already got there and it is relatively painless

Tips? Research, price sensibly and stick with it - patience is definitely a virtue on Amazon. but then I ain't been doing it long either and still learning form the nice folks on here. It pays HEAPS to read the old posts here by the way.

have been trying to read all the old posts......but then i get carried away and take root and no books get listed biggest headache i think is when they are all listed an i get a sale optimistic how am i going to find it am trying to list a box every 3 days and then label it listed between i know from the listing code when it was listed and therefore only have 1 box to empty and find the book

but why is the book i want always at the bottom and why do all the books that came out of the box dont go back in again

    thanks

  • Some folks do clever referencing with SKU's but as I don't have that many books, I keep them in subject type boxes - textbooks, childrens, fiction, etc etc then at least you know which box to look in.

and the answer to your last questions ?? ... sod's law ....

With that many books to list you may find it's worth your while to have a pro merchant account then use SKU's (just give all your boxes a code). If you're going to do this it's easier to do it earlier rather than later in your selling as you can't add SKU's retrospectively. If not add your own SKU to the end of any details in te text box. There's very little more frustrating than spending hours looking for a book.
Also see the threads about a hand held scanner it really does speed up the listing, I've borrowed one that a friend has supplied by work to stock take.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
