Hi relatively new to Amazon but am honest with descriptions and always put a polite note in saying if unhappy with purchase etc contact me. I had over 300 feedbacks all positive.
i sold book and description was 'as acceptable - tatty copy but may of use to some one - second imp 1959 - uk seller '
just got my first neg feedback - with comments book was tatty
My blood is boiling - i have emailed customer politely.
It is so unfair because the feedback system is one sided people can leave any comment at all. At least with ebay if customer neg you neg them.
I realized amazon was only a statisic of waiting for the mad customer to buy from you but is there anything you can do to get feedback removed if it is genuinely and grossly unfair? :mad:0 -
Ok first post for advice please.
I have a small paperback which is currently on amazon.co.uk for £149.16, £149.17 & £151.19. I have checked bookfinder which is showing one on Amazon.com at £55.08 & one on Amazon.ca at £116.31 - all five sellers are in USA.
How much would you price it at?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -
Hi Yvonne,
Good to hear from you again and that all is well with you and your family!
I think I'd go for £100 as a start pooint for the book and be prepared to drop £5 or so a week until I got near the lowest priceed one of £55.
I have a large print book (one of only 2 on Amazon uk with no others listed on the internet at all) and the only other one is listed at £470.00 so I popped mine on at £425 and then £400.
I am being very hopeful I think as I've had in on Ebay to no effect - but I will gradually reduce the price - seems rather high to me but you never know!!!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -

Hi Hazzer
Sorry to hear about your negative, I know what you mean about how upsetting it can be, especially when you have been so honest with the description.
If you have no luck with your buyer it is always worth a phone call to Amazon's customer service. Freephone Tel 0800 279 6620.
If the buyer had left you a 3 or a 4 they will not remove it out of prinicple as 'it is the buyer's opinion', however, with a negative they seem to have a bit of flexibility over what they can do.
I have had negatives removed whilst still on the phone for the same reason ie the book was 'as described' - but do remain 'calm and reasonable' when talking to the CS Rep, don't get upset or cross and you're more likely to 'get a result'.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.

PS - I sold this one on 24th January, just waiting for the feedback, the Amazon reminder goes out on 14th February.
*** PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A READING COPY ONLY - In awful condition but listed because it is quite scarce and someone might want to read it. Front cover and flysheets are loose, no pages are missing. Hi Yvonne
It would depend on which American sellers you are talking about, there are some that are notorious for overpricing books that they don't have in the hope that they will be bought - they then try to source the books elsewhere.
Some of the regulars are: anybook-uk, adanabooks, indigo-books, focusmedia, rbmbooks.
So if these are the seller you are listing against I would be a little cautious.
I would check other books by the same author as some authors are more collectable than others - it can be quite surprising sometimes when you sell a tatty paperback for £50 ish and you get glowing feedback 'cos someone's been looking for ages.
Also, check for other editions.
I always try to get the most I can for a book so if everything checks out I would be tempted to price high.
Good luck.

If it is the same as this one it might be worth you 'watching' it to see how it goes?

Yes it is but it's not signed, I did have the other book in the set which was signed but I can't find it offhand - it may have sold when I had loads on Amazon before my baby was born.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0
