What is it with Shoes?

  • I don't have a shopping addiction at all! I only have a few pairs of shoes.. my vans trainers which were expensive but have lasted me AAAAAGGGGES so well worth the money (plus I literally live in them!), knee high boots which were only £15 but have lasted me a good few years, white knee high boots I wore for my wedding (again cheap but probably won't wear them again.), and strappy 'going out' shoes which kill my feet but again I've had for years.

I've never been one for spending loads of money on one particular type of thing. My handbag is on it's last legs and I desperately need a new one but I can't justify the cost until it's totally knackered!

I don't really have a 'thing' about shoes, but I think I can offer a bit of insight if it helps. :D

    - Shoes are (or can be) very pretty, like little works of art

    - A great pair of shoes can make you feel taller, slimmer, more confident, sexier - just like wearing really nice underwear, if your 'foundation garments' feel/look great, it gives you a boost

    - New shoes (expensive ones) come in boxes, carefully wrapped in tissue paper, so it's like getting a present when you open them

    - Your body size can change so much from day to day, depending on what you have eaten, how much exercise you have done, the time of the month etc....but you NEVER have a 'fat foot' day, where you just look at your shoes and think 'Urghhh, none of you will fit me today'

    - Spending money on something you don't need gives you a little buzz (hence why a lot of us are here lol)

Don't know if I've covered everything there, but it gives you a bit of an idea.

I love shoes but I'm not addicted to shoe shopping.

Shoes make an outfit. You can transform any old outfit with a new pair of shoes instantly.

  • I currently have a record 3 pairs of shoes but I will have to reduce that ridiculously high number to 2 very shortly as my DM's have holes in:)
