Mind you - that doesn't explain why the poster you mentioned went - if his stars were all good and 100% feedback.

Maybe he was still declining, and you have to improve every month.

Opened cases probably carry a lot of weight too - not had one for years. Then there is policy compliance.

Gonna clear it before next review on October 20th - just decided. I got a bit lethargic about it - as i was expecting a sanction - but it never came. So no point letting it drag on, when just 18 sales will clear it.

Trying to work Ebay out is like trying to understand what goes on in Rooneys head.

At the last seller cull there were a few threads on the community boards and quite a few of the restricted or suspended sellers did have other issues once people started digging. One of them had even got a warning about leaving a false positive for a buyer who trashed his stars - so it appeared (and fo course none of us know the exact truth) that he got a warning on his dashboard for that under the misuse of feedback rule.

As you know though with ebay it can be a pure guess

You really cannot compared Amazon and Ebay. Amazon are much closer in origin to Gumtree.

Ebay do not have to offer any kind of buyer protection, but they do. Yes, they go about it in a Stalinist manner, but that's the price you pay for using their services.

In essence, eBay is no more than a world-wide carboot sale. You roll-up, pay your pitch fee then sell your wares. Sell something the man running the boot sale has deemed unsuitable and you will be asked to leave. Same with Ebay.
I do disagree with the DSR system as it is open to abuse. For instance, if I traded in a specific market, there is nothing stopping me using another account accessed from a public WiFi hotspot to buy from my rivals, then leave low DSR's in order to get their accounts suspended. Thus leaving the market open to me.

Just looked at my DSR's. All 4.8 apart from P&P at 4.7. As I send my stuff 1st Class RD and only charge the right P&P, yet still they mark me down.

I will soon find out if my maths is any good.

10 sales done - just 8 more by the 20th should bring my account back into good standing.

If not - i need to go back to school and learn percentages.:D
