Just been catching up on this thread and I have to comment on the DTD spotters. I am a huge bargain hunter personally and have been very grateful for my bargains from Tesco. I have never had a DTD - the only time I was overcharged they had suspended DTD for a few days and had a notice in front of CS. I was more embarrased than annoyed :)

Hunt for bargains by all means but I get the impression some people purposely seek out DTD products just for the pleasure of getting money. Some of these payouts are pretty amazing - and a lucrative hobby for some. I would only seek out DTD if a product I bought was wrongly charged - I wouldn't buy a product just because I know the offer has expired. But that's just me. To then consider taking it back and expecting to get the full price is in my opinion taking it too far!
Is this the same forum where people have a hissy fit if they think someone is selling their bargains on Ebay? Apparently it is sheer greed - but seeking out DTD is not?

It's Tesco who instigated DTD and surely the onus is on them to display the correct prices.
There have been many occasions where I've been overcharged and the cost in petrol and time outweighs the value of making a special journey to return the item/s so I do nothing about it.
This must have happened to millions of their customers over the years and Tesco will have profited from this mispricing.
In an ideal world Tesco will never overcharge the customer and DTD will be irrelevant, but all the while Tesco continues to overcharge, I hope people manage to claw back some of this unfair profit through taking advantage of any glitches or DTD's
I've only ever had one DTD and I was delighted it was a big one!!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Fair enough of course if you have been overcharged you have the right to claim DTD and so would I - what I am saying is should people be trawling Tescos seeking DTD goods just for the sake of it? I have read on here of people who have gone for an item, got DTD then returned on another day to buy the same item and claim again. Yes it's Tesco's fault for not correcting the price but never-the-less I would feel uncomfortable doing something like that.

Why do some posters try to justify fraud/seeking to deceive(actively seeking DTD) with unsubstantiated amounts of profit made from overcharges when there could be substantial losses accrued from undercharging/double discounts/glitches. I believe Tesco actually make a lot of their profit from overseas operations
    Awaiting a new sig

It was, thought I don't find the sony as good as the bookeen,
the sony is a black and white reader and the bookeen is a colour reader
