Oh i didn't realise that...thank you for bringing this to my attention.Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.....0 -
So that's £216 a calendar month.
I spent £130 for me and my dog...but now I share the cost with my lodger (we go halves on food bill) and I spend £180 (so £90 each). That includes flowers, batteries, stamps, stationery as well as food, toiletries and cleaning stuff.
I should have added Its a bit more than it would be but I've got a broken finger so have been buying prepared food. It takes me an hour to peel potatoes otherwise, so I'm goign for convenience untill my fingers mended.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -

Thats amazingly good! £90 a month!!
Why thank you, though i do make a lot of meals to freeze, make my own sweet things etc (my oh has a very sweet tooth) an i do have to resist ading things into the trolley, which we have now manage to combat by ordering online (but only on a tuesday).
However, it oes not include my wine buying habits, which can easily reach £30pm....oh the shame....:embarasse0 -
Slightly off topic a bit embarrasing but actually very satisfying.
This wasn't intentional but circumstances made it so. I even made a profit.
I went to Holland and Barrett and bought some slimming tea. It is very expensive £40 per bag of 30 tea bags.
Anyway they were doing an offer `buy one get one for 1p` so I did. I ended up with two packets of 30 tea bags (1 months supply) for £40.
I consummed this tea for one week. After that I abandoned it. It gave me raging diarrhoea and wind like you wouldn't believe.
I trundled back to H&B with one open packet and one unopened packet. The assistant said they could refund me the unopened one at £20 but not the other. Then she looked at the bill and questioned what had happened then realised one was charged at £39.99 and one at 1p. Quickly I said `the opened packet cost 1p and the full packet cost £39.99` she couldn't dispute it so gave me a refund of £39.99 for the unopened packet.
I kept the opened packet and sold the rest on ebay for £6.50 thereby making a small profit.;)
I am no thinner though:(

That was kind of cheeky of her really to try and refund you half the amount, cos it WAS 1 for 1p, not 2 for £20 each, so good on ya! x1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31

when printing out at home set your printer to 'draft or 'quick print' mode. Its still a good clear print but uses far less ink. This has saved me a lot of ink over the yearsMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -
