On ITV comps I first copy the url, then fill all the details out, save it as a passcard, then post the url in the box click the passcard and then the only thing you have to change each time is the captca. I repeat this until my maximum amount of entries is reached.0 -
Can you enter the ITV comps online with more than 1 phone number? I have only ever used my mobile number, but was wondering if it was OK to do another set of entries with my landline number?0

Is there a link anywhere that explains RT v's copy & paste for twitter anywhere? Does that make sense. I'm using tweetdeck. See a comp then click RT, I removed the original tweeters username then enter... will that work?OLYMPICS CHALLENGE :Win £2012 in 2012: 0/£2012

I do make a point of telling promoters that 'Most Likes' promotions are against FB rules though - I hate those, and now that you're able to Like a photo without Liking the page it's on, they're pointless in terms of increasing your fan base anyway!
I, like many, many others, intensely dislike vote / most like comps, so often tell 'em too! I point out that such comps can, and very often do, get very nasty with accusations of cheating etc. I've seen it get vile when the prize has been a bookmark
I often sent them links such as these...

Sometimes they reply, sometimes they don'tI've even been told that they can't change it to non-voting as that would breach FB rules! It's their comp FGS, they should choose a winner!
Sadly too, you're right that FB seem to lack the will to enforce their own guidelines. They're probably too busy closing down, (without warning!) accounts set up for comping, (even if it's your only one !) for not using "Real" names.
What really annoyed me about losing my account was that I reported a user for using very offensive, racist abuse at random users on more than one page who had an Asian looking photos. That user is still posting as their name sounds like a real name... :mad:Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Hi guys,
Need advice/clarification on posting a competition. I am a comper but have now decided to run a competition for a cause I believe in. It's a petition and I am getting people to read, agree and sign the petition and forward me the confirmation email to be entered into a £50 Arcadia Voucher. I'm genuinely running this by creating a page on Facebook. Now I am unsure if I am allowed to post links/details for this on MSE or is that breach of terms?? Somebody please advise soon as the comp deadline in 10th Nov. Thanks guys0 -

I'm afraid it's not allowed. The rules say
"MoneySavingExpert.com is a free site - you cannot pay to buy space - one of the reasons why so many people use it! Equally you are not allowed to advertise any goods, services and/or companies anywhere on the forum, or through private messages (PMs), no matter how honourable the intention.
'Advertising' includes touting for business; asking people to contact you; posting e-mail addresses which indicate a web address; linking to sites or blogs you or friends are involved in (whether you’re selling something or not),"0 -

I also use Tweetdeck.
When you're asked to RT, copy the message. In the Timeline type RT @(comp promoter) paste in message.
