  • Not a good day. Spent £1.80 on my lunch and bought daughter a £10 top up voucher. Had it on my knee in the car. Opened the car door to talk to someone, was in the car park at work, and a gust of wind blew it out of the car  So went to the papershop at home and had to buy another one. Also bought 3 lucky dips. Won a £1 on one and £10 on another :D Yeh thats karma for you. But think I've gone over on Moozies challenge already. Not adding on the top up though as that's not really an extra. Don't know what my overdraft has gone up to...better go and have a look...I'll be back soon. £209.35 bl**dy heck. Hope those lucky dips I bought bring me some luck.

Oh dear. Not posted for a while due to the computer always being otherwise engaged!!! So have decided to add a little update. Realised that I need to do grocery challenge for the week and Moozies challenge are just for little extras. (I think) So as I can't seem to find the grocery challenge thread I'm just going to do it on my diary pages. As it's tuesday tomorrow I'm going to say £50 for the week to sunday on groceries and not more than £5 a day on little extras. My overdraft is going up again, ridiculous, ad I've not yet paid my 'more card'...oh blimey it might be due on the 7th, better check that. How does the time whizz by so fast???!!! Got to go now, son wants a lift and there's no way I'll be able to get back on this later. Need an early night too. Picked up a couple of books from the library so might take a book to bed with me and snuggle up. It's blimming freezing isn't it? Tatty bye.

Not doing well really. Haven't been keeping a track of spending aside from overdraft. Bit fed up and a bit unmotivated. Other things on my mind and feeling tired too. Have made lunch for tomorrow for work. Rice with sauce of tomatoes, onions and basil. So tasty, vegan and free. At least that's a start. Must pay More card too. Better call at the bank tomorrow on way home from work and get it out of the way. Debt free date looks like it'll be later if I don't pull my socks up. Also hoping to work a day less come september and finish on thursday instead of friday, it's something to give me a focus but it doesn't seem to be working. Before I know it it'll be here and if I'm not debt free by then I won't be able to justify it. Going to bed now. Need to go earlier really as finding it hard to get up in the morning, mind you no change there then!!
    Off I go........

Well not posted for a long long time. Not been up to it due to several reasons. So hence my overdraft is getting high and my mood is really low. But I have mananged to get on the computer (always a struggle with three 'adorable' ones fighting to get on it too!! Anyway I'm not setting myself any challenges as I know if I don't manage it it'll only make me feel worse, so just doing this slowly and carefully. Only have six more payments to make on my loan which is something to look forward too at least, but I really need to curb my spending. Not even buying anything of interest with it, so easy to take a tenner out of the bank for a few bits of shopping and then it's all gone...what on...it's a mystery!!! Yesterday we tidied the back garden whilst it was sunny so hopefully if the weather gets warmer I'll be getting some sun on me instead of spending. I love sitting in the sun reading a good book though today it's a bit breezy. I was quite proud of myself last night. My niece and partner were calling round and usually I'd have gone to asda and spent about £20 on getting stuff in. Well last night I didn't and thought let's see if I can do this with what we've got in. I made veggie pasties with side vegetables, gravy and yorkshire puddings and we drank lager that we already had in and wine. So really pleased. Sometimes I think with me it's the habit of going to asda all the time that I need to break. Feel better for posting this but as I say I'm not going to make any demands on myself at the moment.

Dizzy -thought you'd won the lottery and jetted off to the Indian Ocean. Glad you've posted though. I've been in the garden today, cutting back some of the ivy which seems to have taken over the wall over the last few months! It was lovely in the sun but the wind is soooo strong!

I'm sorry things are getting on top of you, but pleased to see that your trying your hardest to cut back. It can be so hard sometimes, I also feel like giving up on times.

Keep us posted on how your doing. Only 6 more payments on the loan - bet that feels good.

    Hiya GirlRacer
Thanks for the support. Unfortunately my niece who was 27 died a couple of weeks ago so as you can imagine things have been crappy. She was in intensive care which was an unbelievably sad sad place to be.
Well as for my good intentions which I posted earlier I made the mistake of just popping into asda for bread and sugar with my daughter. Cost me £40 something. Honestly I am bloody useless at the moment.
It is windy today isn't it. Hubby got me with April Fools, said all our panels had blown out and damaged the car, I dived to the window in a panic and of course he thought it was hilarious!!! I despair sometimes, jetting off to the Indian Ocean sounds wonderful, just me, the kids and a good book :D
Ah well. Hope you're doing ok. Do you have a diary too? I'd love to contribute with support, it does help doesn't it. :)

Oh no, I don't have a diary, if I started one there'd be more bad days than good days. I have the occassional good day when something is paid off in full, but the rest of the time I'm a ratty so and so constantly thinking about how to make money to pay something else off! I just enjoy reading other peoples diaries as they don't make me feel so bad.

Sorry to hear about your niece, my niece was 21 yesterday and I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to her. Intensive Care is an awful place to be, I sometimes have to go there to train nurses and its really traumatic, can't believe to think how your feeling. Big hugs to you and I hope you'll feel better soon.

Keep your chin up hun and look after all the people who are lucky enough to be in your life. x

    Hello dizzy

I was wondering where you were. So sorry to hear your sad news.

Well done on tidying up the garden, you can look forward to many happy hours out there this summer.

Sympathies re the Asda habit. I was appalled to find we spent £595 on food last month - bl**dy Sainsburys grrrrrr

Thanks so much GirlRacer and Seaxwyn

We plod on don't we...tried sitting in the sun yesterday but it was far too breezy. Blimming cold today as well, supposed to be getting warmer though isn't it. Hope so, I've got the Easter fortnight off from school so it'd better buck up! :D Hopefully I'm going to use some of the time to turn my bedroom into a 'sanctuary'. At the moment it's full of books, ornaments my daughter bought when little and no longer wants in her room and clothes strewn around!!! :o I did buy some new bedding from Ikea, a gorgeous floral print, I want to go all chintz his time, double duvet with 4 pillowcases for £8 or was it £6. Anyway the only thing is it hasn't got fasteners at the bottom of the duvet, the one on display hadn't neither, but I can always add some tie ribbons to it, if I can be bothered. Picked a book up from the library yesterday about finding a sanctuary inside yourself, in theory yeh in reality much harder!
GirlRacer you must be an angel to work in intensive care. I'd be useless, crying all the time I think.
Seaxwyn the supermarkets get us all the time don't they, we succomb too easily. But at least we try.
Thanks again for the support and big hugs to you both x

Just popping on for a minute. Must update sig. Overdraft up a bit more...not really bothered at the moment! Off with the Easter Celebrations at the moment so enjoying some family time. Took two days to declutter my bedroom. Not done it all, still some drawers to do, mainly hubbies but he can do his own, though he usually puts everything back again! Last night, whilst feeling really pleased with all the work I'd done on the bedroom, I told 'him' to hang his jeans in the wardrobe just as he was dropping them on the floor..."What for, I'm putting 'em on again in the morning" was his reply. Needless to say they were put in the wardrobe pretty quick after my reply!!! I mean why did I bother... Made some vegan fudge tonight. It's in the fridge setting but I don't think I've made it properly, I'm just going to check on it......was set fairly hard on top so cut into it, still soft underneath. Tried a bit...good grief I think I may as well have just shovelled sugar in my mouth...which is basically what fudge is so don't know what I was expecting  It might be nicer tomorrow. Added raisins too so a bit healthy :rotfl:
I'm going to bed now because I can feel one of those manic rambles coming on and I am pretty tired too. Strangely enough I had the worst sleep ever last night even though my room looks lovely, maybe I needed all that clutter after all!!:D x
