Dz,just a thought but have you considered trying one of the challenges on here? I'm currently doing the make £10 per day in May. You could use the challenge money to pay off the OD. I know the May one is in full swing now but why not sign up, there's still 20 days to go and do the one in June as well and that could be half of your OD.
Just a thought hun.0 -
Thanks GR
I can't understand why I get so close then do all I can to **** it up. (pardon my french)
I think I will have to do a challenge or something. I think a grocery challenge would suit me better as that's were I spend all my ruddy money...
I might add to diary daily allowances and then try and achieve them. I don't know GR, I wouldn't mind if I loved shopping, I detest it!!!!
Thanks for the ideas GR. Will give myself a serious shake and get back on track.

You'll get there, maybe the grocery challenge will be the right one for you as it seems to be Asda's that's your weakness.0

The GC does help focus me when I grocery shop.I want to hit that target each month.:j0

I find shopping online helps me stick to the GC. It calculates the shopping as I place items in the shopping basket and I find as I'm not wandering round the store I'm less likely to buy things I fancy.0

Thanks guys...I keep saying I'll try doing it online but never do!! I think it's probably because tescos and asda are not far from us and I think I can't justify the delivery payment, but I know I would save in the long run iyswim.
I think I may try again the grocery challenge but my own little personal one. I've tried the other a few times and failed miserably.
I'm useless...:o
Just made a vegan plait and waiting for the roast potatoes and parsnips now. Don't know why we're having it so late, the day seems to have flown by.
I'm going to do a menu tonight for next week and see what we have in the cupboards and freezer to use.
Well as you can see my overdraft has grown. Wanted to keep it below £1,200 this month Lol. Anyway payday in a week and half so...I will try to not go above £1,450 in this time.

Hi Dizzy Lizzie,
If you go to the Asda thread, you will find quite a few free delivery codes, most are accepted, so it doesen't cost anything!
In fact, they send me the codes sometimes via email.
The Tescos ones are more tricky, Tescos seem to be clamping down now on codes ...
If you do sign up to Asda or Tescos Home delivery, make sure you register with mysupermarket first though, and shop through them, as you earn ipoints for the total cost of your shopping. Then at the end of your shop, it does a price check for you, which can save you quite a lot of Money, if you swap certain items.
Hope this helps...................................... MSE MARTIN LEWIS ... :A ... THANK YOU.......................0 -

Hi MD
thanks for that I'll have a look. Really useful to know about 'my supermarket'. I must get organised and have a go.

Well I've tried to be good today, I have spent the grand total of £5.29p Went out with OH after school, to get some potting compost and threw some food in the trolley for us and DS, saved me some money there as OH paid.
Felt really tired and miserable today. Think it's because weekend was a bit stressful.
Going to pop down to the libary, better check it's open first, and take some books back.
Catch you all later and hope everyone is okay.
