Hey girl, glad to see you back, I been missing you. Sorry your still not feeling up to the mark. The weather isn't helping is it. Usually this time of year we're able to get out and do some gardening, I find this always makes me feel better.
As for DS, he seems to be doing well, you should be proud of how he's standing on his own feet. DD's aren't they little witches? Have you thought of going abroad on a coach? Its much cheaper than flying but it takes a while to get to your desitnation. I did it for a few years when I was first divorced, I found it easier to handle the 2 of them on a coach than on a plane.
Have a think about it.0 -
Hiya GR
Aww thanks hun. Me too, you know what it's like though when you feel down.
OH has suggested going abroad on the coach when he's wanted to go abroad but all I can think of is high cliffs, narrow roads and what if something in the opposite direction made you swerve!!!
I'm terrible aren't I? How did you find it though GR. Was it a bit frightening?
Think I should go to bed now. Catch you later.
Luvz and hug

Thought I'd update my diary though don't know why I'm bothering. Nothing much to update. I've ordered a book on vegan slow cooker recipes from Amazon (through pigsback too) so I'm looking forward to actually using my slow cooker at some stage. I've got £10 to come from Amazon, well just £9 and a bit, and I took a top back I'd bought DD in the sale so £4 to go back into account and that's it. I've got some money from Greasypalm due back too but one of the things is still pending. Has been since 3rd March. Once this goes through I should get around £32. altogether. I keep trying to submit a ticket for it but it says it's only after 120 days!!!
Could do with that money going into my account too. Ah well I guess it's saving it for me. Went out on Saturday night to hear OH mate singing again in the pub and that was ok. They also have a quiz night on Sunday and as it's bank holiday Monday the day after we said we might go with a couple of friends. Not too bad on trivia and I do like quiz nights. Nothing else exciting happening...or has happened really. DS came yesterday so that was lovely to see him.
I've been reading the same thread as you GR on stuff that sells on Ebay, bizarre some of the things that sell!! I hope you get some sales soon. That's the thing with Ebay you can never tell.
Keep well

Glad to see you back Dizzy xx:j0

Hey Diz, you might feel as if there's nothing happening, but you still have a bit of outstanding extras that will soon mount up.
Glad you managed to get out on Saturday night and hope your going to go to the quiz on SUnday. Trouble with debtbusting is that it can really pull you down and you kinda stop living for a while. There needs to be a healhy balance.
Hopefully catch you later hun x0 -
Hiya guys
What a strange week this is...it seems a bit surreal, a few folks at work think so too...oh er.
Glad it's nearly Friday, again. Hope the weather picks up.
Got my vegan cookbook from amazon but a lot of the recipes have mushrooms in and I really don't like mushrooms. Ah well.
I made those hobnobs on your thread Wendy and they were so easy to make, very moorish. Needless to say they didn't last long. Just used vegan marg instead. Used half the recipe and it made 28 biscuits!
Great to see you two are still motivated. You do inspire me to get moving.
Have a great Thursday.

I am going to try the hobnobs, will get the ingredients tomorrow and try and get them done over the weekend (if weather bad and I can't get out the garden).
Can't believe it's the end of the week again, where does the time go Diz. Have you got any plans/projects for the weekend?0 -
Hiya GR
Just added to your diary.
Well I made a lovely tea. Chickpea and bean burgers, but did them in the oven. Had them with salad, applesauce and crisp. They were delicious, but a faff to make! Got a huge tin of brownies cooking. They were only meant to take 35minutes but they've been in an hour and a half! Does have 8oz of cocoa in, and two cups of sugar!! Smells lovely.
Not really got anything planned this weekend except the night out! Think I'll just catch up with some tidying and chill out. Got home from work yesterday and did a bit of a blitz in the living room. Said to the dog 'come on let's chill out now' or words to that effect. So grabbed a bottle of pop to drink but forget I hadn't screwed the lid on properly, threw it on the sofa and it fizzed like a blimming volcano. Had to grab it to stop fizzing and got it in my hair, face, clothes, all over the dog, sofa, table and carpet!!!!! Honestly it was like when those racing drivers fizz up the champagne on the podiums.:D
Nevermind, the dog enjoyed licking it up before I could grab some cloths.
I recommend those hobnobs GR. I bet they'd be lovely too with some chocolate pieces in. Vegan chocolate isn't quite the same though.
Don't know what the weather is going to be like, today was nice though wasn't it.

I know what you mean about the explosive pop. DS carried a bottle of unopened pop upstairs last night and just has he got to the top step he dropped the bleeding pop and it exploded. All over the floor and the door. Thank god for wooden floor. I mopped it all up but noticed I was sticking to the floor this morning so had to clean the floor properly before I went to work.
I'm hoping to stop in local co-op tomorrow night after work and get some of the ingredients and hopefully get some made over the weekend.
I've been in the garden for an hour tonight and even though I've now had a bath I can't seem to warm up.
I don't blame you having a chill over the weekend, sometimes we just need to unwind.0 -
Oh dear GR, it is sticky too...
Get a hot water bottle in bed with you GR. I love mine.
Here's a pic of the cake. Just taken out of the oven, weighs a ton....it looks like a ruddy cowpat!!!
Tastes nicer though...not that I've tried cowpat
