  • FA, I'm still following and playing snap with the letters!
  • I have just arrived home from work to find a letter from Parking Eye demanding that I pay them £85 or £50 if I pay within 28 days. I initially thought it was a scam as I had no idea where Crowne Wharf shopping park was but it turns out that I had pulled in to the car park whilst lost to check for directions and to ring people to get said direction. The car park had about 3 cars in it so space wasn't a concern,I spent according to their records exactly 30 minutes in the car park. I didn't get out of the car as I was desperately trying to get my sat nav to work.I didn't get a ticket as was completely unaware that you had to pay. I arrived at 07.40 in the morning and everything was closed. The point I am trying to get to is do they have a legitimate claim against me. I have no idea if I should pay just so I don't get any bad credit score issues. Is this company legitimate and should I pay. I am sorry to admit that I am the sort of person who feels threatened by these letters and so pays even though I cannot afford to. So sorry if I have put this in the wrong section but is my first ever post. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Natalia, please have a read of all the posts before yours and the many ones on this site and you will see that your first thought that it was a scam is correct.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

And please read the current threads instead of this ancient outdated one, it would be far easier if you posted a new thread there
