    how did you do a performance check?

    try the machine without advanced system care, norton, yahoo, nectar, aol desktop, google update, broadband test, gamesapp installed/running

    Assuming that the OP has a paid version of Norton then remove the rest, if not carry on and remove that too.

    Shouldn't be running two antiviruses together - as mentioned I'd get rid of Avast if you've actually paid for Norton. Even if you leave everything else, I'd definitely uninstall Advance System Care.

    No, that's a quirk of using HijackThis on a 64-bit system

    Use the Norton removal tool in that case: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    Definitely don't touch the missing items for the O23s - this is because HijackThis doesn't read the services from a 64bit system properly. If you've checked and fixed any of them, then you'll have to access the backups.

    You can safely check and fix the R3s, O2s, O3s though.
