Hi, I just got a different make of MP3 player from Asda for £4.96 (sorry can't remember the make). It's a 256mb version with headphones, battery, display screen and voice recorder function (it has a mic). I bought one to load up with soppy songs and send out to my husband who's in Afghanistan with the forces for a month - great for Valentine's day (they come in red too!).
I loaded the songs up and listened back to it and I must say the sound quality was very good indeed, probably better than my ipod and its standard earphones!
They also have a 128mb for £4 but it's not as nice.
What a great 'disposable' player. I can't vouch for its longevity just yet though

what are the battery life like on the asda and tesco players? thanks0

HOW FANTASTIC???
I've got 5 children between 2 & 8 and they're always pinching my MP4 player - an expensive toy I think! So when I saw these at Tesco for £4.97 and £4.97 for the speakers I could not belive my luck. They now have their own MP3, speakers and headphones and my house is quite often silent! How rare is that with 5 kids?
I couldn't fault them for one minute - they're reliable, easy to use and a complete bargain!:T :T :T :T :T :T :T
DID I MENTION THAT YOU GET FREE BATTERIES WITH THE MP3 PLAYER AND THE SPEAKERS? THAT'S NEARLY COVERS THE PRICE THAT YOU PAID FOR THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!0 -
twe wrote:what are the battery life like on the asda and tesco players? thanksThe battery life is better than my MP4 player if that helps! We've got five of them in our house and we've only replaced the batteries in one and NEVER had to replace the batteries in the speakers at all!0
