Battery that included in my packet is dead too. Mine works fine with new battery and uses it for couple of days without problem (yet

I bought a converter (2.5mm to 3.5mm) on eBay from a Hong Kong Seller for about £2 include P&P, there are some UK sellers too but their prices are higher. (about £4-6 include P&P) so I can connect it to the hifi now.0 -
Reliability not great - I should know I work on the customer service desk and deal with the returns0

I was talking to my boyfriend about this thread last night and he said he has started using his as a flash drive. It doesnt work as an MP3 player but he regularly needs to transfer data from one comp to another so he uses this. Seeing as flash drives of that size are around £10 in Argos he has saved about £5 and it wasn't a waste of money afterall.black-saturn wrote:My boyfriend bought one of these a couple of days ago and I'm afraid it doesn't work.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

I got the speakers from Tesco which were about a fiver too and they included a converter....0 -
Found this converter from Maplin for £1.60 - hopefully should do the trick.
Another annoyance with this player is that if you pause it for more than 1 minute it goes back to the start of the track, and there's no fast forward/rewind function. A bit annoying if you use it to listen to long MP3s, such as podcasts.0 -
Bought one yesterday and for the life of me can't get my computer to recognise it. Has anyone else successfully connected to a windows 98 system. When you go to the link given on the instructions https://www.Tesco.com/technika it only offers winzip. Can't understand how that does music but my computer won't let me finish downloading it anyway...arggghhhhh!!!!0

Below the winzip link there is a link to the drivers (here it is anyway) - download that file and extract it using winzip. If you can't get Winzip to download, try 7-zip instead. Extract the folder contents to a file on your computer. Then, go through the Add hardware wizard in Control Panel and point to the folder you downloaded when it asks for a driver.0
