Used car of non satisfactory quality + faults

I bet he don't - the whole story sounds complete rubbish:rotfl:
Doors are a complex shape and simply can't be fitted 2cm too high because of the shape of the body work either side, the hinges would not line up and there would be day light at the bottom. I don't think you need a cheack list to see something so obvious
OP still hasn't confirmed the make and model of car either
I said 2 cms but didn't measure it. If I find a calliper I'll let you know.
I am already aware of the known issues specific to that make and model. I don't think make and model are relevant in this context, unless you give me a good reason why it should matter.
There won't be light coming in as, as you might know, there is a rubber thingy between door and the body. Unless the gap is wider.
Thanks anyway for your constructive comment.

It just gets funnier :rotfl:
I think you should tell us the make and model so that all those second hand buyers out there are aware of this type of car where the position of the doors varies by cm's. It sounds as though they could blow off if you drove too fast!0 -

So, what's he make and model of the car?0

so, here are the pics:
The side you can see the lower and higher part have a difference between the higher and lower gap between door and front.
It doesn't show at the best but that's how the driver side is
and the passenger side
I hope this makes it a better rubbish story.. wouldn't ever want to have to refund your money!0 -
Let's see if this works0

sure they're minor in comparison to a engine or mechanic fault, but still are faults (non-satisfactory quality of the good, according to the law). I agree are easily fixed - it's the hassle to get it recognised and fixed that is annoying me.
If you know where to look yes.
I`m no mechanic or as cheekily suggested a car salesman but I have had plenty 2nd hand cars because I couldn`t buy new so gained some experience wherein lies your problem, you are obviously naive to the pitfalls of used car motoring so should have utilized an experts advice i.e. a knowledgeable friend, relative or motoring organization.
P.S.
And I have to say again the problems really are not too bad so don`t beat yourself up over them and the car is driveable, just put it down to experience lifes too short, it could`ve been a hell of a lot worse.0 -

I wasn't sure at the moment but I am now!
At the moment the only sources I knew could have a look on the car were RAC, AA and similar and spending more than £100 I preferred to take the risk.
I just found out also local garages can give the same and cheaper advice.
Unluckily I've no relatives in this country that makes it more difficult plus moving frequently around cities for work doesn't help in having expert friends easily available.
I guess now I will handle things differently.
Thank you!
PS: You're more than right. Thankfully at the end of the day this would reduce the possibilities I'll get something bad in the future. And hope that this thread discussion will help someone else to be cautious about buying cars especially when, for alleged peace of mind, you go to a car dealer.0
