Samsung galaxy Tablet £149 (RRP£399) at tesco

Accordingly to my local Staples manager:

1) They do NOT price match electrical products ie; laptops, tablets,etc

2) They do NOT price match "clearance" items and the the Samsung tablet is clearance at Tesco

He said they can not buy it in at £149 so no way could he match that

Why don't you get the head office number and call them from the store in front of the staff member and ask what the policy is re confirming a competitor's price and match.

That's what I said to them but they refused and said only a print out with be acceptable, they would not confirm over the phone.

Good idea, might well have to try that. Will let you know how I get on

There is returns reference on the front of the receipt. Ask them to show you a receipt by doing a sample purchase at the store.

The address was edited for confidentiality so the store doesn't get a barrage of calls. It's a small store with few staff members.

The back of the receipt has the refunds and exchanges policy plus price match details. I'll scan and post later.

The back of the Staples receipt .... shows price match and refund/exchange policy ....

That would be great if you could, as I'm having major problems getting them to agree to it but know for sure they have several in stock and are willing to do price match if I can obtain proof.

Just rang head office who said as it's a discontinued item they do not have to price match and they will only accept paper proof and will not call the store to confirm. Also it needs to be in stock

Why don't you ask them for the T's and C's as stated for the price match "see instore for full details" ?

You don't need the scan, every receipt has this at the back, repeated.
