Take off your 10% ebay and 5% PayPal and your left with ( as the poster says ) a tidy(!) 20 quid profit. Not worth the greif if your after a profit, worth grabbing one if its for yourself.
its more than that...i sold an item on amazon marketplace - cost me about £21 to sell...as a like for like comparison with ebay and paypal it would have cost me just over £30 - ebay is very expensive and its easier and quicker and better to sell on Amazon - main issue is you are limited to what amazon sells - i used to be a powerseller on ebay but im boycotting ebay after the recent joke changes and the way they are treating small ebay sellers (eg those that sell <100 items a day).
Mark my words that as ebay will fail big time within 5 years - people are leaving in droves or are selling alot less - ebay has lost a huge amount in fees from me alone in 2 weeks
ebay is run by a bunch of idiots who have destroyed the whole ethos of ebay with their recent changes making it near impossible for small volume sellers (DSRs, my ebay, seller fee increases, selling changes so it now take years to upload one ad, postage lockdown where in some cases i pay more in postage than i can charge-joke, stupid buyers and sellers, abysmal customer support, etc)
the old ethos of ebay was to be a one stop shop to sell anything quickly - the new ethos seems to be to drive out small volume sellers and leave ebay to huge volume sellers/etailers and high street stores - so why would anyone use ebayStevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

Didn't want to go off the Samsung topic but I liked your point and what you say is so true to our Ebay experiences. We've been members for over 6 years and have managed to keep constant 100% feedback but as always, it's the seller that loses out. We don't sell anything of real value, it's usually just things the kids have grown out of but we've still been hammered with fees and the odd dodgy buyer trying their luck for missed delivery. I made £7.00 after fees off a used rocking zebra months ago which sold for £10.00 I still like to buy bits and pieces but these days we just cba with the stress of listings etc. Wish they'd stop changing the layout too.0 -

Thanks for that, I`ve never thought of selling on Amazon. Will look into it. Great post0 -

I did post last that I was taking it back. The people who responded lived too far away to benefit. Nobody pm'd to post it. Sorry, I would have willing sold it at the price I paid £144 and no more.0 -
went into Staples in Wakefield asked for price match and the snotty manager said they are not price matching as have been emailed by head office - he was just making excuse after excuse , i even took in copies of some of the posts and he said the reciepts from staples matching the price are not real - which is total utter rubbish0

I was told it's a 10 miles radius.
My local Tesco did not have stock but they confirmed the price of £149 and Staples matched it. I didn't get the 10% back (they have a 110% price match guarantee) because of no stock.
They also price matched the Samsung dock from PC World/Currys at £4.97 though I got it at £1.46.
They would have price matched the screen protector at 1p but I didn't have any evidence from Tesco for this.
Just rang my local Staples, they have four in stock so asked if they were willing to do a price match. They said they would but the store would need to have stock and they required a print out of the price from Tesco in order to apply the price match. Rang Tesco to get the required paperwork and they refused as it's against policy, so rang Staples back and they refuse to ring Tesco to confirm price and will only accept paper proof. Any suggestions? Is this information correct?0 -
Receipt for samsung tab at £149 and dock at £1.46 ..... hope it helps someone.
I swapped the first tab for a second new one. Bought the first one at a different store and swapped at another store. The first store didn't have any new stock. I had problems with the first tab.
Do you think presenting this to Staples store will allow them to price match? (Keeps fingers crossed)0 -

this was the print out i took , they said this was not valid as it does not have a returns reference or an address at the top - personally i think he was talking rubbish, but then again the staples store in wakey does not really have the brightest staff0
