  • morning everyone

Bonnie good luck with your interview this afternoon :j

LW, Mr LW wont care about taking the bath out once a week to help give it a good clean. You have already compromised and got a bath lift which is saving his back! so im sure he is more than happy to lift it in and out once a week for you. I can send Jinks round to give the BD something to chase if you want?

Im not long up so need to get dressed and tidied. Not heard anything from DH since he asked me to phone the office for him so unsure whats happening :( going to have a gentle fluttering day today as am having a sore back day again, but got shed loads of washing to get done before the ironing lady picks it up on sunday so want to make the most of the weather and get it dried outside.

Question: Am considering a tumble dryer, would need to be a condensor one, but thinking with winter round the corner and a new baby on the way and being on my own for most of the time with the baby, that a tumble drier would be a good investment for when i cant get to use the line to dry things. If i wasnt having baby I wouldnt consider it as have managed perfectly well the last 4 years without one, but thinking it might be a bonus to have especially when my already huge washing moutain increases. What do you ladies think?

Hello ladies! (and any gents who may be on here)

Just a quick post to say that the following was completed last night:

Wash dishes X 2 (only the dishes from last night's dinner and this morning's breakfast are now outstanding :) )
Kitchen worktop decluttered and cleaned (though it needs it again after making dinner! Made a bit of a mess!)
    More knitting

    OK, am off again.

Have a great day, and if I am not back before Monday, have a great weekend also! :D

  • seafarers I would definitely get a tumble dryer if you can! :j
I have a washer-dryer and I only use the dryer in winter, for towels and bedding (although I do try to hang them over doors for some of the drying time to cut down on elec costs). Add a new baby to the equation and it's a no-brainer!! As a new mum I was astounded at the number of bibs, muslins - worn constantly so babies were sick on muslin and not on my clothes, though this didn't always go to plan, therefore increasing the amount of my sicky clothes that needed washing :o - pooey vests (baby not me) and then you need to get them dry so yes yes yes buy that TD.

    Good morning all

I have been a busy bee this morning and the estate agents are seriously winding me up - completely useless and never heard from them most of the time Ive lived here. Suddenly they are on the phone every two minutes wanting me to do viewings - which I dont have to accomodate... they should be scheduling those for after I leave, but then of course theyd have to allocate their own time to do that!! I tried to be reasonable and said Id do one or two - so they booked in 7 viewings today... and then called me back to see if I would do viewings sat AND sun!!

Its not like Im trying to pack or Im moving house or anything.

So they have been told not to bother booking anymore in as they have been unreasonable. Watch this - I bet they now try and find a reason to withhold some of my deposit. I hate them.

Anyway.... I have been to the tip with another car load of the previous tenants tat from the garage and some old toys which were beyond use.

Two ebay items need to be wrapped and posted...

Little ones room is done and scrubbed within an inch of its life.
    Bathroom roof has been bleached.
    Box packed from my room
    Box packed from LO room
    Box packed from kitchen
    WM on
    WM emptied
    WM refilled
    Dishes done
    Kitchen wiped

Need to make some headway in the DR...

    HHC starting now anyone??

havent done anything today but im going to have a rant before i go restock some cupboards.

yesterday this guy thats been trying to chat me up didnt seem impressed that i was not that interested and wasnt chasing him so decided to tell me i was "just average". what every girl wants to be told eh?

then today a friend of a friend asked me if i was good at what i did. i asked him what that was. he said childminding. i replied its not childminding when its your own kids to what he retorted well you get paid for it. erm since when do i get paid to raise my own kids?!? is it p**s on Adamantine week or something? really dont need small minded people upsetting me.

im angry at myself for letting these guys upset me when i know i shouldnt but i have. DS2 has been a nightmare, ive got toothache and all i want to do is go to bed and sleep for a week.

dont think ill flu tonight i think ill just have an early night and sleep.

Put 'em out of your mind; ten pounds to a dog biscuit they're sniping at you because they have some shortcoming of their own that they're compensating for. (Mr LW has a theory that drivers who habitually cut others up must have a small willy):D Seriously, they're not worth your time and energy - just treat 'em with the contempt they deserve.:o

I've managed to turn a load of candle-wax into 7 new candles over the last couple of days, so that's a bit of clutter turned into something useful. There's more to do, but I'm going to have a break from it today; if I work on the same thing too many days in a row I get fed up with doing it.:o

I've had a wee re-arrange in the freezer, too, and there's now enough room for a nut loaf in there, so I'll have to make one over the weekend. And the back lawn needs hoovering - I'd really like it done before Meg arrives, next Friday. If we get good weather at the weekend, and Mr LW gets the mower out, I might have a try at doing at least a part of it myself.:shhh:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Ok - upstairs is all beautiful.... or as beautiful as it can be with boxes all over the place!

Downstairs is a work in progress, but better than it was.

Ive unearthed the dining table, taken photos and ebayed it as well as listing a childrens bookcase from LO room.
Have posted my ebay items, done another load of washing and am off to try and find somewhere to hang it... Im tempted to use the line, but its been looking like it might rain all day.

My sister popped round so have sent her off with a boot load for the Charity shop...

Need to hoover downstairs then might go back to ironing for half an hour. I hate ironing....
