*Whacks BD over the nose with walking stick*
Meant to say yesterday, well done to Squeak. 5 or 6 steps is marginally more than I can manage without my sticks, before I fall over!:D Btw, little one, you do know, don't you, these adults spend loads of time teaching you to walk and talk.... and as soon as you master it, they'll be telling you to sit down and shut up!;):rotfl:
How true... :rotfl: Bigs hugs and a big stick for you LW...
:hello: to Toots & LL and to any lurkers...
Welcome to the Newbies!!! :T:T
I have been ironing for hours... and still have half a basket left...
Anyone want to come join in for HH before I lose the will to live?????Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

oh heck
I had a text from the guitar tutor
DD did, too - and we BOTH thought the lesson was half-an-hour later than it was...
anyway, dashed out and got her there - I waited outside. She wanted stuff from HUGE tesco, so we went there. Spotted a DVD player for just under £30 but will get DS's GF to collect it for us (and save even more) and that's DD part sorted for xmas and I can have my very expensive sony DVD player back then! Been for petrol. I had no coat, no tights and am freezing...
anyway, did lounge and dining room got a flick over while tea was cooking.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Mr LW has agreed to the idea very readily; I just feel guilty dumping yet another task on him..... and, if I'm honest, still a bit shell-shocked after the psych nurse the other week asked if he wanted a "carers assessment" because of the strain of looking after me.:( He said No, but of course it's set me off thinking I must be a real burden, but he's too nice to say so.:( *turns round and kicks BD in the goolies*
Please don't feel like that, everyone gets offered a ''carers assessment''. I must get offered one every year, i say the same as Mr LW. They really only offer it to say they have offered it.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Well..... I did the DW!
Busy day though, left for work early so I could pop into Asba to pick up pressie, card and wrap for DD's friend's bday party on Saturday
Worked all day
Went from work to chiropractor
Picked up family and took them to Mozzie's for tea. (Kids free on school nights, so cost £8.00 for the 4 of us and saves on washing up!) The nice lady even gave DD a free ice lolly as we were leaving!
Got back, put baby to bed, did homework with DD
Read to DD and put to bed
Spent an hour and a half looking at tax credits, price of childcare and working out whether or not it's worth pushing myself and squeezing in 21 hours per week (over 17.5) and doing college.
Conclusion: not
It only works out at about £350 extra per year if I work the extra half day per week, which means less time for homework/flying/time with baby.
That's actually a big relief as I was unsure how I was going to fit it all in. Reducing my hours will definitely help! That's a major frog eaten to boot!0 -
Wm is on

yesterday my daughter came and hang out the washing, changed DGD's bed for me, and started to tackle her toy boxes for me. Also hung the "princess" bed hanging that I bought in the charity shop earlier in the week.
I managed to catch up in the kitchen to some degree, before my health put a stop to it.
Hoping to get some washing on, dispite the weather.
Then I am hoping to clear off the dining table, as its become a dumping ground.
Doesnt sound like much, but with my health as it is, that will be a giant move for me.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well plan to try and get the list done. did not do ironing last night so must get the done today so can take children out on Sunday and not have to worry about doing the uniforms when I get back.

Morning people.
*Warning - the following contains anger and ranting, and allusions to bad language, which may offend*
Not done so well this week due to combination of starting level 2 OU course  and total and utter frustration in getting my JSA claim restarted after the end of my temp contract last Friday. If you imagine an expletive beginning with f then AAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!, repeated over and over, that pretty much sums up how I felt yesterday.
Lovely, lovely lady in the JC but my oh my they make it difficult, for you and themselves. Not only is the rapid re-claim not rapid, but if you need a crisis loan to tide you over until your claim (rapid or otherwise) is agreed, the entire claim is delayed while they consider the loan application (not always guaranteed). Now I'm lucky I have clung to a credit card which I use for emergencies that others may need a crisis loan for, so I politely declined her offer of one. But to delay all benefits to people who must be absolutely desperate by this stage to me seems... well words fail me. *end of rant in sight...*
I'm reminded of Hayley Taylor's discovery during her time as 'Fairy Job Mother' of many people's terror at the thought of having nothing while in the process of re-claiming after a job ended; she found this to be a recurring reason why people turned down jobs, especially temporary ones  While it's not right, I have to say I have started to understand where they are coming fromIn addition, as a psychology undergraduate I would love to look into this further *realises I can't change the world and sighs*
My BD I thought had been banished after a mammoth tussle a few years ago, but there's definitely a puppy lurking here now - prob hiding under all the gibble and clutter and general carp in the house :rotfl:
Anyway.... the day ended on a better note when the agency rang to say the company she sent my CV to that afternoon wanted to see me today for an interview for a part-time admin job. YIPPEE!! So, at 3.30 today I have myself an interview :j:j Trying not to get too excited though if that makes sense otherwise I will be hiding under the carp myself.
Flywise:

Cor it's a bit cold here today!! DD1 has actually worn a coat today
I'm currently sat on the sofa, in my Pj's with a very sad kitten on my lapShe was spayed yesterday and now has a lampshade on. I don't want to disturb her as she obviously feels very sorry for herself but I'm getting cold and have things to do.
I was planning to do a charity shop run until DD1 reminded me that she has to do a garden sale at her friends house as part of a project at school so needs my junk to sell
I can't do the tip run without help so I just have to do houseworkI daren't leave the house for any other reason 'til DD1 comes home and we go to Iceland as my BD is making my money burn a hole in my pocket _pale_ as a way of trying to make me feel better . . . it's not working I'm just close to skint again
My lists are still very long so I best wake the kitten and get on and I MUST start my ou study!! I promised myself I wouldn't get behind but I have already.
