Lamb is bought - got a Hugh FW recipe from the meat book to try out. I do wonder if it might be a bit too hot for roast dinner though....will consult OH on his return from work.

Is it wrong that in the glorious sunshine all i want to do is lay on the sofa and watch telly?

TM - sorry to hear about little dog :(

    afternoon all

popping in to say hello. feeling okish today after a nightmare day yesterday. my friend who i've being staying with on and off, miscarried her baby this morning :( so i have her 4yr old boy here. him and ds are in the tent in the garden at the moment.

i'm ploughing through tons of washing and hubby is doing a few bits around the garden. its soooo hot here and the wqashing drying really quick  need to make some snack bits for ds. he is mad on cheese scones at the moment. his reflux has made a return. he is being sick at least once a day. not proper sick just watery stuff (tmi sorry :o) and coughing as if it coming up a little :( if it doesnt settle down soon will see if the dr will give him something as i dont want him to start losing weight like he did last time.

talking of which, he has finally outgrown his 18-24months trousers. but 2-3yrs are absolutely huuugggeeee on his. he has jeans with elasticated waist or belts and they still dont stay up :o saying that all his shorts are still 12-18months and fit him perfectly :D will prob wear the shorts he got for his birthday as trousers :rotfl:

    anyway hope everyone is well

Yeah - started working there on the 1st August and I love it!

Hard to deal with everything on your own but people don't understand unless they've dealt with mental illness. my ex-h is bi-polar but he was bad for years before getting diagnosed and stress was one of the factors that would kick an episode off so I often found my self filtering everyday stresses and just dealing with them to save him getting wound up. feels like another lifetime ago now!

I forgot to say hope your DD gets well soon JC xx

Lou sorry to hear about your friend and her miscarriage :(

H still working on the garage and I took the kids to the park. Me and the kids had a lovely time but can't say H is having a ball ;) still perhaps this will stir him into keeping it tidy ;)

No idea what's for tea, too hot to cook so maybe leftover HM pizza for the kids and a baked spud for me and H.

Mmmm the sun seems to be hiding today :( it's warm, just not terribly sunny.

OS update - bathroom cleaned, bedrooms tidied, hoovered downstairs, laundry put away, fresh laundry on airer, recycling sorted.

Just need to decide what to have for lunch and dinner. I seem to be stuck in a rut of eating the same meals every week :s But on the other hand I don't want to have to buy new ingredients as I'm trying to eat out of cupboards til I go on holidays.

Hi chums all the baking is done I even made a lemon meringue pie for my eldest DDs OH as he has got a touch of the blues so it will cheer him up as he is the only one who likes it in his house so rarely gets a taste ( wot a luverly ma-in-law I am ) :):)So victoria sponge is done and a couple of dozen iced fairy cakes and the cookies from yesterday so that should keep the tribe happy for a couple of days .
BIL's funeral on Wednesday and my eldest DD said she would go and represent our side of the family which is good of her as its in Leicester and it would be a 300 mile round trip for me and a problem for me to get cover for the three little grandchildren .I will send a wreath though, and have already sent a card.He is out of pain at least .Odd though as he died on his Dad's birthday 23 September and his Dad died on his Mums birthday back in the late 1970s.

Well time I got a wriggle on and had a sandwich as I haven't really had much to eat today I've been too busy cooking .Dinner at DDs tonight so I think a ham and salad sandwich will see me through.Still very hot here in Kent but its due to cool down later in the week so it will mean a better sleep at night at least
    Take care all
