Unless it's in absolutely mint condition, cex will downgrade the phone to B
and from the CEX site "Please note that when selling your phone to CeX, we will determine the condition of your phone after we have fully tested the item, and will value it accordingly."

So the OP may still not get the premium he 1st imagined.

I don't imagine things, probably you will be more used to it, coz that's the way of thinking and how things work in Android world.

Just coz I mentioned cex means that there's only place I could sell it....now take a look at this from O2 recycling

    "Apple iPhone 4 32GB

    £282.00
We will not reduce your Mobile's price based on scratches, chips or other signs of general wear and tear!
    "

Now please don't try this with an HTC

Have you sold the phone yet or not?
Not sure why you keep bringing up HTC, as mentioned people buy handsets to use , not for their residual value.

The flaw in your idea though is that you didn't consider that the other handsets are not falsely inflated to start with, you feel you have a device which is worth something massive, but yet you are 'struggling' to sell it?

Again you've no idea what you are talking about

HTC desire launch price was £429 and iphone 4 16g was launched for £499

Now if you look at the spec iphone 4 was way ahead in terms of its retina dispaly superior battery management and its industrial design.

Where as htc desire with no such added value was selling for an inflated price ....if you don't get it forget it mate..

You started off on about a 32gb IP4, which must have cost must than £499 and is now valued at less than £300, I don't have a desire, but not sure why you have some sort of inferiority complex over other handsets, as far as I know the Desire has a user changeable battery , FM radio and supports flash websites.

I don't buy a handset for life, I've used this my iphone 4 for over a year now. And for me its upgrade time I need a phone with better spec.

And I need to sell my iPhone 4 that's why I'm selling it. Thats why I'm interested in its valuation.

I started this post just asking for it and you've started bringing in HTC into play, so that's why I'm talking about it.

yes iphone 4 costs much more than that. its full retails price is £599, but my TCO for that phone with my 1y contract was £520 so £282 for that phone is good money for me.

I compare desire with my phone coz I know people who got it for much higher TCO than my contract and that phone looks cheap and is inferior.

And you are talking about the same old irrelevant features which make me laugh

User replaceable battery - how many people actually done it most people end up charging the who where they go and buy additional charge leads than a second battery

FM radio - when you've got a smartphone with internet always on who the heck is going to care about 80's idea of FM and I always had fm's on my nokia phones and which really awkward to use - you need the handset leads connected to make it work and it works 1 out of 100 attempts and poor reception.

I don't know whether you've heard of Tunein radio app....that what more people cares about that traditional FM

And Flsh - which not really the traditional flash 80% of flash websites never works on mobile variant. so forget it...even adobe has ditched it...

If I'd bought a £600 phone 12 months ago and was now being offered £280 for it, I wouldn't be as happy as you seem to be.

Any particular reason why you seem to have embarked on an anti-HTC rant? DUTR only mentioned the HTC Wildfire in passing, and all of a sudden you're giving us all the reasons why you don't like HTC ... bizarre. Are you on here to find out where to sell your phone, or to rant about how you hate HTC?

Oh and before you tell me I'm a Fandroid, I've actually got both an HTC Wildfire S and an iPod Touch - both are very good at what they do, and do what I want them to do.
