Best place to sell iphone
Hi,
I've a 32gb iphone 4 black UNlocked- 1 year old - but in mint condition, with the original box - I'm planning to sell it, but don't which is the best place to sell it.
Certainly don't want to ebay it, coz of the huge commission and paypal fee I'll lose alomst 20 to 30 % of the sale value.
Is there any other place where I can do this for cash, cheque but not vouchers. Please advise..Thanks

You mean to say they are not already camping outside your door to make the purchase?
You could try gumtree, naturally you may get more for the handset than say a HTC Wildfire, but be prepared for the handset not being as premium to the next person as it is to you.0 -

I completely disagree, no phone holds its value like iphone, after I putting this query online, I came across websites like cex who are offering £280 for 1y old iphone 4 - none of the htc crap comes anyway near it...
Anyone with a right sense of mind won't compare wildfire with iphone, I'm sure you are one from the Fandroid community.
Buy any new htc handset and try selling it you won't even fetch 100 quid for it....lol0 -

Heh heh , I buy a handset with the intent of using it, not selling it, I know a colleague purchased a HTC Hero just this week for £70, now the Wildfire is £100 new, so seems he paid a high price, but yet he said that was the going rate on ebay, I don't know what an IP4 will do that the Wildfire won't , but people favour different handsets for different reasons, If CEX is offering a price you find reasonable then CEX is your place to sell it, £280 for a £700 handset is quite a loss in less than a year.
But as mentioned in the 1st reply, people should be queing up to make the purchase if the handset is so desirable, should they not?0 -
Gumtree, freeads, local shop windows.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Ebay,Bargain pages and gumtree would be the best places to sell, however with the iminent release of new iphones expect people to want to haggle or not payout as much.0

if you read my post carefully, I'm talking about selling your handset for a good price.
So my point is, any htc phone even if its the latest model the prices is around 100 for htc sensation check it out here

So as far as resale value nothing beats iphone, and comes nowhere near it
I'm looking to sell my iphone 4 32g and the resale value for it is £280 compare that agains htc desire which was the equivilant and release almost the same time as iphone 4 and the resale value is around 380
So thats my point, htc does make smart phones that looks and feels like an android but the build quality is so poor, and if you look at htc models of 2011 and compare it with their latest release, it looks exactly same with few modifications and moving buttons slightly and a bigger screen other than that the innovation and build is the same and the good old filmsy build...lol I won't go anywhere near it.....0 -

The flaw in your idea though is that you didn't consider that the other handsets are not falsely inflated to start with, you feel you have a device which is worth something massive, but yet you are 'struggling' to sell it?0 -
avforums?
Unless it's in absolutely mint condition, cex will downgrade the phone to B0 -
