That's a decision for YOU to make. But if, as you will claim, you are separated then there will be an expectation that you would access any revenue stream reasonably available to you. A bit like there being an expectation that you would work for Tesco if the opportunity were to be offered. To refuse may risk a sanction.0 -

You wouldn't be penalised, no. But her earnings would be taken into account and that is what you are trying to avoid.0
