    Evening All

It's rained here all day again today but it's not cold. DD is laid out fast asleep on the lounge floor 'testing' out her new chair bed - I think it passed the test.

Twins are settled in their new place - I cried when they first left to get their keys, then when they came bag for the rest of their stuff i cried again lol but then DS2 came back to nick my ironing board, DS1 came back for a missing wire, DS2 came back again to borrow money.....I've stopped crying!

I did have a very productive day and tomorrow the decorating starts!

    Enjoy your Saturday nights x

Evening all. I usually post on the tough thread but it's all gone a bit daily mail so I thought I'd pop over here instead. Hope you don't mind. Day of cleaning and shopping and washing here, then lovely BBQ at a friend's. Then tonight dh and I fad a big money chat which has been great. We were about to take on a big loan for a car but both feeling v apprehensive about it so have decided to keep our banger running a bit longer. Feel like we have made a wise choice .... And I can't really miss the lovely Audi estate if I never had it right??? Dh also made a bit of cash from his hobby which was ear marked for a new bathroom but has decided to pay off a credit card balance which brings our DFD forward about 11 months - love him :)

    Evening all,

Just saw the time...day has been a long one, started by taking Kerry to vet as she has had 2 'fits' in last couple of weeks....he says it may be epilepsy but to monitor them before he puts her on medication....says it may never happen again anyway, but the border collies are rather prone to epilepsy...she is in fine form to-day, although not wanting to go out....don't blame her as it has been persisting down here all day....spoke to DD2 in London and they have been out all day in sun except for when they went swimming...am so jealous.

Did very well in last month's GC, ended the month with a €45 surplus....knew why when I went shopping this morning....spent €106! Will be very careful for rest of month.

    Daisie....get that b***dy cleaner back immediately...you are a partner, not a slave!

Hester....your daughter is wonderful....and you too to put your heart into helping her help unfortunate children who have been dealt a particularly rotten hand.

    Hilstep...enjoy your holiday.

Cranky and George....thinking of you both.

Nic1...glad to hear that you have moved on....enjoy Majorca.

Kimsmum and Julie67...know how you both feel....saying goodbye to DD3 when she and her BF left for Perth in May was not my happiest moment....DDs 1 &2 are off to see her next week but it will be next June/July before we get there...seems a long time even though we talk on Skype at least once a week, but they are doing ok, so I am happy enough with that most of the time.

Never used to forget names but can't remember who has tendonitis....can you take it easy please, it does need rest.

Feeling a bit guilty as when shopping to-day I bought a ginger cake mix in Aldi, nothing to add except water and oil....can never make a satisfactory ginger cake so figured it might be worth a go, made it in BM and it looks and smells lovely but am railing at the price €1.79! Will try again from scratch I think as couldn't be spending that much on a cake. Would appreciate a foolproof recipe if anyone has one please??

Really should be in bed so hugs to all, sleep well, stay safe.

OH doesn't really do much around the house. He leaves for work at 6am every day and gets home about 7.30pm or 8, often with a bit of work to finish in the evening. Due to getting up at 5.30am every day we really have to be in bed by 10pm. He has a daughter from a previous relationship who lives in Manchester, while we live in the South East, and he has her every other weekend - so this means he is away in Manchester every other weekend (though she will be 16 next summer and looking for a Saturday job so the weekends will probably stop then). Although he is willing and wants to help, he just has no time. He does the garden on the weekends he is home and any DIY that needs doing and I really do do everything else.

I don't mind...he earns about ten times more than I do and works very hard for it and I want to give him a nice home and look after him. But don't want to completely wear myself out in the process hence possibly getting the cleaner back!

Another one who thinks you should re-employ a cleaner!!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
