I have seen the flylady thread but it scares the cr*p out of me....

daisie. We are seriously not scary. Most of us try for level 1 and are seriously happy for anything more. It sounds like you are achieving far more than most of us flyers. Stop beating yourself up for not being perfect. None of us are.

  • Hi Everyone,
long time lurker here. was up early to watch the rugby. think the bolognaise i have made this morning to batch freeze may be a wee bit more saltier :-(
got some cream in whoops section of T last night, for only 9 pence so oven is on ready to try to make Lemonade scones.
that and some other batches of standard scones
then a cheeky wee shift in a local bar to help towards christmas presents, most of which i am hoping to either bake or make.
    love this thread

    cheers

Go on. Be brave. We all help each other out with fluffy mules and tea as necessary. There are a few furry beasts in circulation as well who can offer canine/feline support if required. (See avatar!)

    Afternoon everyone,

A late post from me today as I spent the morning at a cross country tournament with DD2. It was really hot but she tried really hard and came 37th out of 77. It was her first ever cross country race, when she finished she said that she was never doing it again and 5 mins later was planning future race tactics with her friends!:D

All children now out at the park apart from DD1 who is making herself beautiful for a party, she has only got 3 hours, I am not sure that she will manage it!

Hester you must be so proud of your DD, not many people can do what she is doing and Redruby I agree with your sentiment about the unfairness of who can and cannot conceive, My friend recently miscarried at 11 weeks, she has polycystic ovary syndrome and found it really hard to conceive in the first place. She would make a wonderful mother and hopefully it will happen for her soon.

    Welcome to ScottishOstrich

Welcome to Daisyegg is your name anything to do with the wonderful children's' story books about the baby duck?

Tea tonight will be eaten in shifts, DD1 and 3 friends are having sausage and chips before I take them to the party and the rest of us are having chicken in cider and cream later.

Have a lovely rest of the day everyone.:)

Hello and welcome to the new posters x

We are just back from Charlcote Park vegetable shop and nursery. I have stocked up on pumpkins, squash and gourds which I do every year at this time. However i have never been when it is this hot:eek::eek::eek: The car registered 29 degrees on the M40:eek::eek::eek:

I am also all washed out too! I think I really appreciate this bout of sunshine as normally it is getting difficult to dry clothes outside.

I have thought about what I would like to achieve in the next couple of days as I didnt have a clue this morning. I need to make some cupcakes for Mooloo's DGD to take to nursery as it is her birthday on Tuesday. I would also like to make some more soup and cook the apples I have left over.

Hester - unfortunately I looked after a few women and their babes who suffered from Heroine addiction. The cries the babes made as they were withdrawing from Heroine after birth were pitiful and chilling. I think your DD is doing stirling work with her foster children and that as her mum you support her admirably. Big hugs to you all x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

It's too hot. I am grumpy, the house is boiling, it's burning my skin being in the sun and quite frankly this is the reason I love winter. It's far easier to put layers on to warm but cooling off is a mare.

I've not done much, took DS to toy shop to spend some birthday money, popped into Boots and only spent £2.98 on some moisturiser and a make up remover. Called round and had lunch at my mums and am now home feeling too hot to do anything. House is south facing so the main rooms are like ovens. Still might mean my peppers ripen before frosts hit ;)

Not sure about tea, might have fish finger or sausage and chips.

Off to hang out the washing. Sorry for the grumpy post :o

Ps that toy we spent ALL day putting together......well it's now in a million pieces because DS took it apart because it didn't work properly.

Hugs and spoons all round xx
