Oh seaside yay for moving
. Not so yay for narrow roads. Our road is like that and we're on a hill too! None of the self employed chaps take their work vans out when it's snowed because if they had a bump they'd take out the whole road and that would be them out of action for ages. We're also parked up tight to the walls at the front of the houses so cars would get damaged both sides. It's a nightmare on our road if someone is visiting and doesn't park up on the pavement because it blocks several people from parking or blocks the road so nobody can get up.None of us mind about walking in the road though because it's so quiet. Happy medium there I think

I have some unexpected INs yesterday and suppose I should jump on the naughty step because I could have avoided it I suppose.
MrM was working away last week. One night when he rang home he said his face was really sore and he put it down to working outdoors all day - at the time I said it sounded like he had windburn. When I was in the bathroom on Friday I noticed he had emptied his washbag and had started using the LE Sensitive Shave Cream I bought him for Christmas. He did used to like the L'occitane Cade one but the formula had changed so last Christmas I had bought him the Elemis and LE shave creams to try. He'd used the Elemis one which he loved. I asked him if his face had become sore after using the LE cream and he said that it had stung a lot when he applied it so I now think he's had a reaction to this. He didn't use it yesterday and his skin has calmed down.
So we ended up going to John Lewis yesterday to get him a tube of the Elemis cream. Had a chat with the SA on Liz Earle counter and she told me to contact LE Customer Care which I've done.
Anyway Elemis had Bonus Time type offer on. Buy any 2 products and choose 5 travel sized products out of a selection of 10. As two of my favourite products (Pro Collagen Marine Cream and the Neck and Bust cream) were included in the selection made it easy for me to say yes. So I bought 2 x the shave cream (reasoning that these are one of the least expensive full sized products you can get from Elemis) and chose the PCMC, Neck and Bust, Pro Collagen Quartz Serum, Nourishing bath milk and foot cream. Unfortunately, I can't remember all the other 5 products you could choose but do remember the hand cream (the new range not the Pro Collagen one) and Pro Collagen mask were there. You do have to choose 5 different items. Got home and totted up the value of the gifts and it came to £93.00!
Now to justify this to you folks and more importantly myself! - the PCMC is my HG day cream and I was going to compromise by not taking any away with me because I'm going to use the LE tinted one and take a tube of moisturiser from my stash for me and Emma to use together. Instead I now have a travel size to take with me and will decant some moisturiser into a travel pot for Emma (saving space???). Have a travel size of the Neck and Bust already (x 2) but hey I can't see me buying the full size (which has now shot up to £71.00!) so the more the merrier re: these little tubes so far as I'm concerned. The foot cream will be handy on hols after being on our feet all day. It'll be good to give my skin a bit more boost with the serum and the milk bath is being put away for Emma for Christmas. Plus the spare shave cream is going away for Christmas as well.
Do I need to go on the naughty step just yet?
Oh also no more UUs but I did GA the last sample sachet of BB cream to a work mate.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Sounds just like our road Kaz through we don't have to park on the paths...through further up the road does but its not any easier to get down the road so they must be even narrower! Back to it I guess, almost down but would kill for a bath...dog might get one if he's lucky but I'll just have to wait until tonight. At least the toiletries are on the bathroom floor...should be easy to find some nice pamper stuff later:)Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Morning.
At last some UU to report.
Soltan aftersun - been using it up as body cream - reminds me of holidays, WBA as aftersun. - have no body lotion cream stuff left so an inevitable in.
John Frieda leave in conditioner - WBA as it makes my hair shiney and soft and i can get a comb through my fine hair at the end of the day even after being outside the whole time. Although i can't help wondering if i put some normal conditioner in the bottle diluted it might have the same effect? Any thoughts?
Trudij - Red is stunning. For Amateur dramatics you can get spray hair colours which brush out, i assume it would brush out of Red's hair too. A friend used to paint her donkeys hooves with sparkely stuff like nail varnish for when she was meeting the public!£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
1% target £4000 so far £20 paid0 -
Have four UUs to declare. A handcream, some toothpaste, some bubble bath and a room and linen spray. Not sure how many of these items I have left as I lost my list when my laptop had to go back for repair so had to go back to my list from October and haven't been bothered to update it properly on items left in stash.
Nearly succumbed to the LE TSV yesterday as looked upon it as the last treat I'll be able to buy myself before baby is born but when I checked what was in it against the TSV back in February it was almost identical so managed to save myself £40.00 odd.Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

1 UU, 1 binned item:
UU: l'Occitane 4 reines rose hand cream (15ml). WIBA? It's nice, but I think I prefer their cocoa butter products, to be honest.
Binned item: Nina Ricci Premier Jour Body Lotion (100ml). WIBA? I've tried to pretend that it hasn't gone off, but it has. I don't even remember buying it, to be honest, but I don't think this is down to the amount of stuff I've got, rather I think it was my mum's and she palmed it off on me, having already had it for a long time. (Can you tell I'm not that fussed - I wasn't that keen on the smell!)
Please call me 'Pickle'

No UU's or ins for me just thought I'd stop by and say helloDebt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

No wonder you used to win so many best turned outs, Trudi. What a stunner Reds is. No suggestions for horsey fancy dress, I haven't got those sort of skills alas.
Ok, back on topic with 2 freebie UUs to report. Firstly, a wee Dove shower sample - Deeply Nourishing with Nutrium -the new one in the white packaging. The shower cream is more liquid than previously, which is a plus as I couldn't get the previous product out of the bottle half the time. WIB? Yeah, this is the best Dove have done so far, loads of lovely nourishing suds, the usual pleasant Dove fragrance. A definite winner. Won't buy it until Savers or Wilko's have it on offer though.
Also a 50ml Dove Intensive Repair Express Treatment Conditioner. WIB? My hair isn't quite in the category this was made for, but it's a really lovely product that lasted ages as it's so thick. Cut open the tube and there was LOADS left. If you do need intensive treatment, this is a good buy.
My Lush Karma Solid Shampoo is on its last wash so another UU on its way.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
I have managed to avoid the latest Body Shop offer, played about with the orders a couple of times then closed down the screen and switched off computer as decided I had too many BS items but the prices were good tho!:ALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Asset - I did the same with BS!
Having flicked through the Boots catalogue, there are some nice bath & shower gels by Philosophy, all in very festive packagings, but they're quite pricey. Have any of you tried this range & is it worth the money?Do nothing in haste; look well to each step; and from the beginning think what may be the end - Edward Whymper0
