    Morning everyone

    One IN:
L’occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream Desert Rose 30ml

It was with the new Marie Claire magazine and couldn't resist!

    It smells amazing aswell.

Bought it really to cheer myself up as I fell badly on my knees taking the kids to school so I am nursing my bruises and grazes and have also had to bin a pair of Next trousers which have two ripped knees. Felt really foolish but at least I didn't break anything. Still hurts like hell though!:(:o:(

Will go back and catch up on the posts now. How many pages since the beginning of October?

That sounds really nasty bev97. Holland & Barrett do Arnica Cream which really helps speed up the healing of bruises.

Think I only have another day or two left in my The Promise cream. It got cut open 10 days ago and is still going...

Also my Blanx toothpaste is spluttering.

    Used up today
Mama Mio Get Waisted - a cream that supposedly breaks down the fat deposits around your midsection. After using up one bottle I haven't really noticed a difference, but the cream has a nice cooling effect and makes my skin very soft. I think I will buy it again, but not this month as I'm on a self imposed shopping ban!

    Throwing out
The Body Shop Radiance Powder Mix - freebie with purchase from TBS. After the first day or so it made me break out in small under the skin bumps, but as I kept using it the bumps went away. This is actually great stuff! Made my skin extra radiant and dewy. Would not buy again however, because according to the instructions the mixture is only good for 10 days, but after using mine for 15 days there's still at least 30% left in the bottle. Reluctantly binned it today in case it's going off.

I'm trying to keep up with the thread - and will be posting a list of use-ups next week after my Mum's been to visit, but here's a picture of my nails with nailpolish on. I don't do nailpolish often, as I have a habit of picking at it :o

Do you think the colour is good with my skintone? It's very difficult for me to tell myself. I was wondering if this might look professional enough to wear to work?

Edit: Oops! Didn't realise the pic would be quite so big! Sorry!

Boots are having a Big Skincare Swap - OP here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3531907

    Info from Boots.com:

The Boots skin care swap event

Our in-store skin care event is just the ticket to an autumn beauty upgrade. Bring in your old facial skin care products to a premium beauty counter from 5-18 October and leave with some handy tips and new treats to try.

    Treat yourself

We all know how easy it is to stick with the same products that we've relied on for years, but we reckon now is the perfect time to pamper yourself and discover the wide world of new premium skin care.
From 5-18 October, you can pop to your nearest Boots premium beauty counter for the chance to swap your old products for samples of some of the latest skin care treats from brands such as Clarins, Clinique and Lancôme.

    How does the swap work?

All you have to do to get involved is bring in your old facial skin care products to the beauty counter of your choice and our premium beauty consultants will be pleased to offer you a free 15-minute skin consultation.
Whether you want to know about the latest in radiance-boosting lotions or hydrating moisturisers, our consultants can help you find the skin fix-its that will perk up your complexion for gorgeous autumn beauty that's just a tad indulgent. Get your chance to try the popular Advanced Night Repair from Estee Lauder or nip over to a CHANEL counter to find out more about the Hydramax + Active Moisture Cream.

After your consultation, you'll be given free luxury trial-sized treats that are sure to bring a bit of sparkle to your beauty kit.
You'll be able to take advantage of this event at any store that has premium beauty counters. Find your nearest participating store by using our store locator – simply enter your postcode into the box and scroll down to the premium cosmetics section to select your beauty counter of choice.
So there's another reason to love autumn. Get swapping and pamper yourself at Boots.

    Terms & conditions
    • Samples are only available after a consultation and are subject to availability.
    • This event excludes No7 and Max Factor.
I had a google mooch at other forums and a lot of them are saying they didn't have to have the consultation but I guess that would depend on the SA and how busy they are :p
  • That's a really nice colour IlonaRN - very subtle and natural.

I would like to announce proudly that I have finished my tub of Handy Gurugu hand cream from Lush - after almost a year! It's nothing if not value for money. And now I have a new one to use up :rotfl:

Wish me luck... I've got a job interview tomorrow, for the permanent version of my current job (which is a one-year contract, til Feb). I have to compete directly for it with the person who started around the same time as me, who is also a friend.

    Hi all,
    Hope everyone is okay.

1 UU for me: Traditional Greek Olive Oil soap with Jasmine- WIBA? Yes (usually gifts anyway!) as I like olive oil soap, but it doesn't seem to last very long. I've put out a little hotel freebie for now.

1 IN today: Freebie Garnier BB cream sachets. From what I read on here, it sounds like the 'light' version will be far too dark for me, (I buy the lightest colour in foundation). I will keep these for the time being I case I go on holiday in the near future.

I also have a £1 off BB cream voucher- If anyone can make use of it PM me.

    Good luck Absinthe Fairy!

oopps....... i'll blame it on my hubby (he went looking for them after seeing someone at the check out with a box) but i've come away from asda with two packs of the vo5 shampoo and conditioner (the tickled pink one). It was £1 for a box with with a 500ml bottle of each. Hope they're good they were certainly too good an offer to miss.

Have got one UU though - Asda baby talc which i would buy again.

Splutters - still the Umberto Gianinni conditioner, may be two more uses left, Sanctuary hand lotion which i've got at work but is probably being very deceptive at the moment and the Garnier deoderant (ok but i prefer Dove).

Good luck Absinthe Fairy. Wish it was like the old days though where you could just be "made permanent" rather than having to go through the interview process.

I still haven't received these however yesterday spoke to the SA at Liz Earle counter in my local John Lewis and she has kindly set aside a tube of the Sheer Skin Tint for me to collect on Saturday.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
